Yes, it can take days to kill them off..It has to kill them as the eggs hatch..but you should see improvement soon..by the way..outdoor cats are big time carriers of the new fleas..as they roam into other people's yards and bring them home..So, if you have cats you need to treat them as well...sigh...fleas are such a nuisance!
But, the stuff tht you sprayed in the house should ease your problem soon...
Best of luck to you and yours..

I think you have to flea dip and clean the house and spray.Than two weeks later the eggs hatch again and you have to do it all over again I'm guessing.See with alot of pests the pesticide doesn't kill the eggs just the bug. They also have a front line pill its called that would really make a difference. What if the fleas are coming from the area that would be a loosing battle try the pills.I have never had to use the pills check into them.It might be a good answere. The dog doesn't have to stay on them forever. just until you are in the clear.I think its called front line but I am not positive.

It takes several treatments to get rid of the fleas because the eggs will continue to hatch. Try flea bombing the house, wait about two weeks bomb again, wait about two more weeks and bomb again. Also after vacuuming, remove the bag from the vacuum cleaner and dispose of outside of the home. There is also a spray that can be sprayed directly onto carpets for fleas. I believe the name of it is Raid Flea Killer Plus carpet spray.
Also be sure to bath the dog and treat for fleas. I use either Frontline Plus or Advantage.

Hi there,
You need to do thorough cleaning - when you vacuum, put a flee awler in it, in pieces in the vacuum, this way they are killed by it, and they just won't go all through your house.
Also, try advantage flee control, that is what i use for my guide dog, and it works well! No fleas or anything!
You can only get it from your vet I believe.
Only thing is, your dog may need a tratment again, since there are still fleas in the house...
Hope this helps a bit,

If there are fleas in you house you have to use a flea bomb they are in the carpeting and all over, at times what the vet does only kills the eggs not the actual fleas

you may have to call Orkin or some kind of exterminator to get rid of them.
I used to live in a townhouse and our neighbor had 4 big dogs that had fleas and the 'little bastards' attacked all the neighbors and us as well. We each had pets at the time. Once they moved, the fleas stayed behind. One of the neighbors called Orkin and within days the fleas were gone. But yes, it takes time for them to leave. But keep vigil over your pooch and get a sargents flea collar unless your dog has been dipped.

My friend got a commercial company to come in and spray her house and the outside areas for fleas. She was using Frontline on her dogs and that didn't seem to take care of the problem. Once her house was sprayed things were ok.

you will have to bomb, and then bomb again, and then bomb again! Those little buggers will take days maybe even months to get rid of. The eggs stay in the carpets and then hatch out a fresh supply.... this could go on indefinately. There are some good flea killers out there that won't hurt your family or dog... Google getting rid of fleas!
