Honestly, I've been sifting through the Religion & Spirituality questions and it's shocking how often I come across book, chapter and verse along with preachy preachy preaching. Sometimes they don't even ask a question, they dive right into their sermon.

Do they feel so desparate to score a few more "saves" for the Lord that Yahoo! Answers becomes nothing more to them than a platform from which to harrass Jesus into our lives?

Yeah... steve? I thought this was the section in which to ASK QUESTIONS regarding Religion & Spirituality, not hit the ground running with the scripture they intend stomp into your head. I have no problem with people ANSWERING with book, chapter and verse, but to completely disregard the basic function of this site - TO ASK QUESTIONS - seems a bit desparate to me.

But then again, I could be completely wrong. Someone remind me... is this site called Yahoo! Preaching?

I guess it's just because they don't have anything better to do. They preach on here, (then make rude comments about Aethiest and different religions' questions.) Not all of them do, but there are those annoying people who choose to do that. I read them, and try to see if there is a point or a question. There usually isn't!

It sort of sickens me, I mean, I know it isn't just Christians, but those ''questions'' are just so annoying and pointless, and I doubt they'll ever stop it..

Then, there will be certain Christians who get offended by this question.. Yes, it is the religion & spirituality section.. but they shouldn't just talk to hear themselves be heard! (Figure of speech) They should actually ask questions.

And no, this isn't called Yahoo! Preaching, lol.. there are just too many people who can't realize that.

have self belief in Islam has 3 aspects; what's settled interior the coronary heart, what's declared by applying the tongue, and the deeds that are achieved. If there is cohesion of those 3 aspects then this a real have self belief, 2 out of three in any different case are actually not sufficient. the coronary heart element is often hidden to people and can’t be judged because of the fact it extremely is a secret between the All-understanding God and that particular person and no one has the stunning to declare if this guy or woman is or isn't a real believer. inspite of the undeniable fact that, the different 2 aspects can supply a outstanding theory yet they could be back in cohesion. Now for Christians on Yahoo, they coach contradiction between what they say (peace, love) and what they help (killing and terror), the genuine question is : are Christians genuine believrs?

Certain Chrisitan denominations preach that their members are expected to "witness to the lost" about the Savior in an attempt to bring them to Christ and "save their soul".

When I was a Southern Baptist (a hell of a long time ago), I struggled long and hard with what I felt was my Christian duty to witness to those who might be brought over.

The prospect of just how unpopular that sort of thing would make me among my peers (I was already considered a 1st class nerd) really created a conflict.

In a forum like this where you are just a name and an avatar, it is so easy to make yourself obnoxious preaching to the unwilling and the uninterested.

You don't have to look into a disgusted, angry or mean face.

Man, if Yahoo Answers were around when I was a devout young SB, I would have been pounding the keyboard, and the Bible, plenty hard!

I wouldn't get too put out with these kids. They are doing what they really believe they have to and that they are doing a loving thing.

If it bothers you, pass on to the next question.

Are you in Y!Answers of your own free will?
Is someone sitting beside you forcing you to click on certian questions?
Did you realize, when you clicked on a question in the R&S section, that you would find people there who would be discussing...uh...religion and spirituality? Did you understand that some of these people would be Christians?
Do you understand that most Christians do feel as if they are on a mission for Jesus, to try to get His message to as many as possible, and for alot of us, the internet seems a good opportunity for this?
Did you know that there have been some very dramatic "saves" on the internet?
Were you informed that you were not required to agree with anyone else's opinion in this, or any other forum on the internet?
Do you know where the little button is that allows you to report abuse?

If you answered "yes" to the above questions, you actually have no complaint.
But your remarks have been noted, and filed.
Thank you, and have a nice day, and may God bless you.

im a pastafarian and i believe in a flying spaghetti monster

i pretty much always ask my questions sarcastically to mock christians and try and disconvert them,
so i do the same thing, here read this heh why does the bible say this embarrassing thing

so
its all fair in love and war

just answer their questions as i do, i love you even thou i dont believe in jesus and life a happy and purposeful life

that way they wont play the victim card and they wont be able to say you need jesus to be happy
fight back
fight
fight
get in there and go go go

we get embarrasing bible quotes
we got alternative atheist theories that have no evidence that make fun of their world view of a creation without evidence

do it go go go

Isn't that what Christians are supposed to do? They must seize any opportunity to spread the Good News to those who may never have had the opportunity to hear the Truth.

Preaching, rather than asking REAL questions, is against Yahoo! Answers community guidelines ... and a reportable offense.

Is the same reason given to those who hate Christians and the God we so love?

Harry Truman once said this:
"I never gave anyone hell. I gave them the truth and to them it seemed like hell."

It's the truth that some people can't stand.

they are confused.
they follow the bible and look at people who dont and want to change them .
for the simple reason they are not sure weather they are right and that god is true
so if they get everyone else to think there way then they will feal better about them selves.
we know its bullcrap they are in denile all they have is the brainwashing sessions that they face every sunday but they are unsure if he exsists that is faith you dont find out untill you die.
what a waste of life.
common sence is controlled by the church in these suckers
they have no brains to think for themselves.
