Stafford loans are government loans. You must meet a certain need level in order to be granted the stafford loan. There are two types, subsidized (where they pay the interest for you) and unsubsidized (where you pay the interest). You must fill out the FAFSA to get either of them at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ and then submit it to your school of choice. They'll evaluate your need based off of your results and the costs of the school, and then determine your eligibility based off of that.

Stafford loans are federal loans. For subsidized loans, you must demonstrate financial need, for unsubsidized you don't necessarily have to be needy. Fill out the FAFSA and if you qualify you school will let you know if you should take out a stafford loan or not. Note these are also called Direct Loans. If all else fails, you will have to turn to private loans, which require a creditworthiness or a credit worthy co-signer. There are many banks and company's that do student loans, such as www.key.com/educate/alternative, http://www.citiassist.com, or http://www.salliemae.com. I hope this helps you!

some colleges offers loans through them so look into that. I have a student Direct Loan and my parents have the Parent Plus Loan by Direct Loan as well. I got Direct Loan through my college because it was cheaper than going through a bank or any other place.

Ask your college. With the Stafford you do not ought to pay it back till you're completed with college and there is no pastime till then. some human beings get that own loan and placed it right into a CD then pay it back after commencement and make funds on the pastime.
