Some accents are great - As an American (North Eastern United States) I find I am very intolerant of other American accents (southern states, New York, Midwest)
But I LOVE to listen to British/Scottish/Irish accents.
I cannot deal at all with Hispanic accents or any sort of Middle Eastern accents..
I find it very hard to understand Dutch/Swedish accents but can understand French much better.
I guess it is all about what sounds lyrical to each individual person.

I don't think that accents are kool. I think that they are cool. High nere everyone has an accent, but we often don't know that we do because we do not travel around to other parts of the country or world.

It depends on the accent. I find some accents far too thick for me to understand. The English and Australian men, as well as the Italians...very cool. Sexy too.
