After they lived through and the majority died in an unthinkable, unimaginable Hell, am I to believe that they are now eternally damned to Hell because they were not Christian?

If you say "No, they aren't", then admit that this Christian belief that only Christians go to Heaven is - at best - flawed.

If you say "Yes, they are", then admit that this Christian belief that only Christians go to Heaven is - at best - hateful.

And do not hide behind the Bible, particularly if you are going to continue to use Hebrew scriptures to support your own religious beliefs.

The belief that only Christians can go to Heaven is one of the biggest issues I have with Christianity. This was one of the many problems I have with Christian theology. If the Christian God is the one true God, he sure is an unmerciful, unjust jerk, and I'd sooner take my chances elsewhere.

One must also consider all of the people that lived before Christianity came into being as well.

Before Judaism came about, the idea of a Jealous God did not exist. Polymorphism, and polytheism existed, and religion was more tolerant. (Yes, I know that monotheism did occur in Egypt before Judaism, but it was executed in a different fashion.)

To start this: I am not relgious, I am agnostic, bordering on atheistic.

In the bible Jesus was put on the spot and asked which of the commandments was the best. He answered with a vauge reply that combined most of them into one. But he did say something along the lines of "I am the way, the truth and the light... The only way to heaven is through me..."

This dosn't say that only Christians will go to heaven, but that the only way Mankind would achieve ascension would be for Jesus to fulfil his destiny.

Jews have all fulfiled the commandments that Jesus talked about (well, if they have followed Jewish teachings) and therefore, since Jesus came to remove the sins of the world, they will get the same treatment that anybody else would receive.

Would somebody born and brought up in the middle of the amazonian rain forrest in the 9th century a.d be denied heaven for not following Christs teachings?

I am Christian, but believe if we live our life as a good and caring people, we live with God in heaven. Perhaps the Holocaust was Hell, and for them death was birth into heaven. At least I hope it is that way, and I won't know untill I am called by my Father in Heaven. And neither will anyone else.

Sorry dude you got it all wrong, its not flawed and here's why...

Just because on this earth they dont believe in Jesus doesnt mean they will go to hell. I believe everyone on this earth that was a good person will have a choice AFTER their death to say, I believe in you. We are just too ignorant in our current state for us to be condemned for something we may not be aware of. If I lived in the woods and never found out about religion or christianity, would I be condemned, no way. Just like every culture is different and we all grow up with different beliefs, theres no way God can hold that against us if someone grew up with this idea and you another. So let me ask you this...
how do you know what the bible was implying only implied that it had to be while you were alive and not after your death? Maybe the choice to believe came when you were fully aware and then thats when God makes its choice (sorry I hate to refer to God as a he or a she). I hope that answers your question.

You say Christians believe that only Christians go to heaven. That itself is a flawed belief - it's not true. Perhaps SOME Christians believe that, but not all of them. And no, there is no reason to believe that Jews (or any other group of people) will not go to heaven.

Whether you are in heaven or hell depends on whether you are in opposition to the Lord when you are in the life or whether you believe and overcome that and refrain from sin for the sake of the Lord.

Belief in God and living a good life is the universal of religion.

Dude, you need to take a chill pill. You sound all worked up.Do you know that people aren't held accountable to Christianity unless they have heard and fully understand what they are rejecting?Do you think that God would send millions and millions of folks to Hell, say all the people who live in the deepest darkest jungles,or were living on the Steepes of Russia 3000 yrs.ago?
Paul says in Romans chapters1&2,that people who have not heard the gospel are juged by the light they do have which is concience.I don't care where you live you know it's wrong to murder, steal etc.....it's born in us .We have to really work at searing our concience over to where we can do that stuff(Like go to Al Queda camp).Alot of the Jews heard of Christianity but didn't really KNOW about it and were told lies and fabrications to keep them on "the reservation"so to speak, just the same as I was told lies about protestantism .God will take care of all who are His and He's known them since before time.Besides they are GOD's chosen people.

I'm an atheist so i don't believe in hell or heaven, but in the off chance i am wrong and these places are real, then they bloody better get in, they damn well paid their dues, no matter how they behaved in life, the Holocaust was hell, and any god who wouldn't let them in to heaven does not deserve that title, no soul should have to live in that, and then to be punished in death with hell? no matter what god or religion u believe in that would be wrong.
