Hopefully you aren't from one of those "african countrys" with better education than the USA... because you can't spell.

That would be "African Countries."

Goes to show you aren't as well-educated as you thought you were.

It may be attributed to 2 factors:
1. Think of who the early colonists were. Many were prisoners or indentured servants with little education. There has been a long tradition of anti-intellectualism in America. In other cultures, the two most respected classes of people are the clergy and the teachers. In America, teachers get no respect. If you doubt that, take a look at what we pay the people who have our kids more hours of the day than we do. We worship movie stars and sports figures - not the people who prepare the next generation.

2. We don't value that which is free.

The reason is commonly know as Dumbing Down.

Thanks to both psychology and atheism, America started teaching towards the worst student and not towards the best and brightest.

This caused a continuous downward spiral that continues today.

If one loks to the past, it is plainly evident that the human being is much more capable than the schools give students credit for.

Way back when, people were scientists, authors, philosophers, inventors, statesmen, all in one person.

Today, children are taught that if they are lucky, they MIGHT be good at ONE thing!

Teaching children to feel good about themselves and then sabotage them by not allowing them to succeed is ludicris, but it continues!

Children should be pushed and challenged and allowed to compete, scholastically, and they will advance and naturally feel good about themselves. This will come from a REAL sense of accomplishment.

Only then will the American education system get back on track and produce better, smarter, well equipped people!

OK. Here is an uneducated guess as to how your question should appear............

"There are African countries with standards of education better than (those of) the USA."

Your welcome.

I have to run along, so I can view some more of your sophomoric vitriol. Rats. There are those big words again...............

I think it's really complex. Just a couple of things off the top of my head:
hard to get teachers motivated about someone else's kid, low paying job, too much work/stress, etc.
teachers overworked so they must devote much time to needy kids to the detriment to less needy
people expect every kid to get a's in every subject, and devitation from this is humiliating and damaging - really, all people have different aptitudes and deficiencies
college prep is over emphasized, vocational/technical training underemphasized
Underfunding

Don't get me wrong...wonderful teachers are doing wonderful things! We need to encourage, compensate, reward, and instill this behavior - behavior that helps our kids feel confident and succeed. Difficult the way things are set up...
P.S. Your spelling typo to me is illustrative of my point of varying aptitudes. I believe you asked an intelligent question - not everyone has an aptitude for writing and spelleing that enables them to convey it. I do have a slight aptitude for spelling and writing, and I left a typo purposely, as I am not stupid, just clumsy. No reason that you shouldn't be allowed to convey your interesting thoughts nonetheless.

I would say expensive cost of education. Some parents are not concern to send their children to college. Mostly a high school graduate is enough and children are separated from their parents and started working by their own.

Many Americans are lazy or live in the moment minded. They don't care about their futures until it is too late. The school systems aren't helping either. They don't like to make the slackers feel bad, so they refuse to fail them. Instead of helping those who fail, they make failure look like victory. The children are then brainwashed to think that they are wonderful, brilliant, etc. when they are quite the opposite. This "I can do whatever I want to do because I believe in myself" garbage is spreading like the plague. When these fledglings finally graduate high school, they will think that they can get into whatever college they want to with their "well-earned" grades. They're in for a big surprise. In summary, American students and school systems are polluting society with a can-do attitude without backing it up with results.

And from your spelling, I take it "you" are more educated? Do you see those two words on the top of your box that says "Check Spelling?"
Use it next time. Then you wouldn't make "yourself" sound so uneducated.
