It really doesn't matter. lol the tiny spark it makes isn't going to hurt anything. I've dissconnected batteries a hundred times, and it seems like either way, I get a spark. Don't worry, you're not going to kill yourself.

On negative ground "most cars" disconnect negative ground first then positive...... reconnecting put positive on first then negative. So you will not spark to the positive + side
