I say thank you to all the military men and women and all the families that have to wait patiently until their loved ones come home. Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you for your contribution to making my family safe.

Thank you and thank your hubby. My husband just got out of the Army after 6 years, He was reactived a few months ago but he requested a deffrimate, our son is special needs and we need and have to have 2 parents here at all times with him, And I am 6 months pregnant with #2 a girl and my hubby is going to school full time. I am proud to say that I have had military wife to my life, it was the hardest time in my life, yes he went to Iraq too, but I love how you have that instant friendship with the ladies and men that are going through the same thing and they are there for you 24/7. I actually miss it. I miss being a part of the "military family"
I will never forget my experiences and friendships and moves that I had to make. It makes you prouder to be an American, it makes you stand a little taller and it makes you stronger in the end, not to mention that you can do anything after having gone through deployments. We don't and we should but at the same time we are humble about it and do our job silently but very proudly!!

You're right we don't hear enough about the good job that our husbands do or the job their family does while they are gone!!
Not all Military wifes are whores, as some people on here have stated. I have been a military wife for 13 years and have never once been unfaithful. My husband has done 3 tours in Iraq. I know many military wifes who would never dream of cheating on their husband.
Military families are special. It takes a special type of wife, and kids to deal with this type of life!
I hope you hubby gets home soon!!!

I am a Army wife, with my hubby deployed and left with 3 lil girls and a farting Great Dane to look after. I would never think about cheating,he is still close to me everyday through emails and phone calls. We know it will not be long until we have this in the past and we are together again. In fact it makes us closer by relying on each other for certain support, yet independant knowing I can take care of our family. He is not worth a "fling" to lose him over. If I want a "fling" it will be with something that needs batteries! ;>] I think the older you get,the more mature and commited you become since you really take your vows to heart. Alot of Military marry to young, and expect alot more out of the marriage than being left alone for a year at a time. Good luck though to all you wives that are faithful, and keep the home fires burning! Hooah!!!!

The majority of wives are faithful to there husbands, I am an Army wife and me and the people I associate with (friends) don't cheat and would never do that to their husbands, we love and support them in all aspects of their lives.
Like some one else mentioned, It does take a certain type of person/wife to be a military wife.
The few that do cheat on their husbands are not cut out for the job of a military spouse, and probably have really bad self-esteem issues and low pride of themselves, their husbands and country.
So Thank you for the great comment, it is nice to know that we are appreciated sometimes.

For the most part, military wives are wonderful and supportive and that's what the guys in the military need. Unfortunately, my wife decided that I was gone too much, found another guy, and left me. No, I didn't beat her or mistreat her. So, not all military wives are great, but the ones who actually support their husbands do deserve a huge thank you.

There are 2 dimensions on your downside- one is the army and the alternative is your CIS (former Immigration) recognition. if your husband's command will sponsor you, the JAG can help with the authorized stuff- submitting a petition, etc. in any different case, he's going to have have been given to document for you on the commencing up of being the companion of a US Citizen. The key-word, as you place it, is "construction residency." as quickly as he information a petition for you, think ofyou've have been given to attend until eventually at last the petition gets processed and there is not any guarantee how long that would take. that's wherein the army command could help. you will ought to ask your husband for command sponsorship first, then proceed with the I-551 forms. you will get what you like finally. yet be arranged for burocratic delays. solid success!

Military wives rock!!! I spent 6 years in the Army with the 3rd ID and 2 tours in Iraq and the only way I survived was with the support of my loving faithful Army wife!!! Militray spouses are the on true supporters of the troops. They understand that "Support our troops" is more than a freaking yellow ribbon bumper magnet!!

Military wives are awesome. I am in the military and so is my wife. She is every bit the soldier I am and I am so proud of her. Military wives are heroes and so are the children they take care of. Thank God for military wives and thank God for American women!

Alright! You are right we don't hear it enough and then its people like your first answer that really screw it all up mentally. Being geographically separated bites big time, no need to make it worse. People who say stuff like that are clearly not military spouses or supportive :-) So you stay happy (as can be considering) don't let anyone get you down and keep encouraging the rest of us, we need more people like you!
