I keep hearing we won't do certain jobs . Well all that have been listed I know Americans that have done them . Hmmm. Am I missing something?

There is no job Americans will not do, for at least minimum wage. That is what would be paid if an Illegal was not doing it cheaper, (For the employer that is) WE pay for the additional health care and social services that the Illegals cost.
I have done them all except pick produce. Every menial and dirty, smelly dangerous job you could think of.................it prompted me to attend college and break the cycle of mediocrity!

It is a bunch of crap. Americans will do any job just like they did before these illegals came here. To one of the posters on top My father and brother do landscaping and have done it for years. My brother would not give up this job because he loves it and he always says that he would never want to be stuck in a stupid office all day behind a desk. He enjoys doing manual labor and he feels that he is earning his money. So all you people saying they do jobs we wont do should do some research before saying such nonsense.

Americans are willing to do the jobs, but Mexicans have control over certain ones. Have you ever tried to work with a mexican majority. I have, and it is impossible. They try to stab you in the back emotionally, talk about you, make fun of you, and generally make your life miserable. Consequently, there are certain jobs that citizens will not venture into. If the illegals left, all the citizens would have plenty of jobs to perform and make money at.

yeah, your missing something. americans wont do alot of jobs involving hard physical labor for the money that companys are willing to pay. why pay an american 15 bucks an hour when you can get someone else to do the same job for 7 or 8? if you were a business owner what would you do? it all comes down to the corporate execs. and their bonuses. the more you keep the cost down, the more money you get, regardless of the quality of the product. then you find people who are willing to work for less and still maintain quality because they will make enough money for themselves and their families in another country. it helps the companys and the immigrants, but it screws the american worker. you can thank our big corporations, our congressmen and senators, and our government in general for allowing this to happen. now you havent missed anything.

Americans will do all types of jobs, do you think that a peasant in Bolivia that makes 200 bucks a year at best will say 'sorry bud but I don't pick strawberrys'? of course not! And it just doesn't get to be any more American than that! lol

I don't know what jobs Americans won't do either. As far as those jobs go, any 12-year-old boy would be happy to mow your lawn for $20, you don't really need to buy your oranges roadside, you can get them at the grocery store, most farmers have custom combiners to help with harvest and combine for farmers in other states when their crops are done. We really don't need the illegals for that.

Americans have become lazy they don't want to work if they do they always taking time off American have become spoiled .Go to a third world country and live like they do then you will understand it better .and as far as you being a true American i do think so maybe your family should have stayed in there country

Will you pick peaches for $2.00 a day like the illegals do?Oh sure we can blame them,but what about the piece of **** American farmer who hires them? If Americans would stop hiring illegals then they would pack up and go home for lack of work.But its a lot easier for morons like Leif Ericson and Angry White American to trash the illegals than trash the money grubbing American farmers that are cashing in on illegal employment.

For a wage below the legal minimum? For no health insurance or benefits? What about for one time jobs? Like fruit picking, or painting a house over?
