I here that we are not very popular in most societies. But why? All we want to show is that you can live your life without religion. That the discoveries made by Science are not feared but rejoiced.

Every religion has a creation story, each is unique. But the one thing they have in common is there is no physical evidence. It is only in the believers "faith" do they see the evidence.

Science is the only one that has physical evidence on where we came from. It's called Evolution by the means of Natural Selection.

Science is only a tool. A tool we use to see the awesome machinery of nature. If Science reveals that we all life on this planet is related, then it is true.

And THAT is an awesome and humbling thought!

It's not called "Darwinism" it's called Evolution and yes, even you came from apes. We all did. If we are not related to the apes, then where did we come from. Remember we have 99.6% of the same genes in common with them.

...and why are we drawn here. Because we see religion as the problem with the world. It limits what you are willing to understand and accept. Religion is a "mind virus" It grows and grows, destroying other organisms. Why? Why would God create a species just to watch them destroy themselves? Hmmm...because some humans need to feel special. Is our self-esteem that low?

...the bible is a book written 2,000 years ago but people who didn't know anything about the natural world. Only the world that they wanted to see. If you really are comparing the bible with Science then you need to ask yourself some questions.

Yes, I am a proud secular humanist. It's the perfect life philosophy for me as I'm an atheist and socialist and I view secular humanism as a great combination of the two.

Ah I agreee my friend, science is good, did you know that where the paths of science (not theory) and scripture cross there is no discrepancy. Did you know that 5000 years ago the Bible declared the earth to be a sphere, even though people in the 14oos thought we lived on a pancake. Did you know that the Bible is the most accurate historical document bar none. Science is good, the Bible is good, God is good. Unfortunately people who live willingly in opposition to God, who have made alliances with the "other" side think that science backs them. This is false, leading researchers lean heavily toward intelligent design, there is too much proof in the universe to deny the hand of an intelligent designer. You don't like that do you? Think about the ramifications, God is knocking on the door of your heart, let him in.

A religion old or new, that stressed the magnificence of the universe as revealed by modern science, might be able to draw forth reserves of reverence and awe hardly tapped by the conventional faiths. Sooner or later, such a religion will emerge. - Carl Sagan

I consider myself a secular humanist amongst society. I still consider myself very religious, but that is my private life. I'm an eclectic Pagan, but my religion isn't going to prevent me from interacting in society or oppressing anyone!

I'm a big fan of truth (this includes science), and I'm glad to see there are others out there as well!

I used to be an atheist.

Darwinism is a creation-myth for atheists. (no offense meant)
