If you have been a long term relationship with someone and they want you to share everything with them even what you are thinking, does that come with the territory or should some people have their secrets?

Well I wonder if you meant 'secrets' or if you meant something more along the lines of space and privacy? Once you're in a long term relationship you have to get with the program and start with the 'we' and 'us' mentality. That doesn't mean that each person should have some things that are just for themselves. Everyone needs space. It's just a matter of how much. Even some privacy from time to time. It's healthy. I like being close with a guy, but I'd go crazy if I didn't have atleast some space.

People should definitely have the own "secret garden". Keeping a privet place in your heart and spirit does not mean you are cheating or you untrue to your loved one. It means you are keeping your individuality: that same individuality that made your lover attracted to you. Even after years of relationship, keep a bit of mystery, of untold stories of exciting thoughts that are yours and yours only!

I would say that it depends on your relationship. Some things are good to share, some are not!!! Depending on your relationship, you can share things and it might get thrown back at you. So be careful as to what you share. Some things are personal, that is why it is called personal.

depends what the secret is. did you kill someone? if it's nothing serious like that, then y not tell them everything. another question? do they tell you everything too?
