Yes they are addictive. Even sex and food can be addictive. It's not the things it's the person doing them. Someone with an addictive personallity will more than likely become addicted to one and/or all of the above. Some people can drink just one beer without having to get drunk. Or have one cigarette without having to get a head buzz or cancer. Or pull the arm of a slot machine once without having to lose their life savings. Look deep inside yourself and at your family before you decide to start. Moderation is the key.

Sounds to me like you want to pep up your life a bit with some of the more socially acceptable vices, but not get engulfed and become a slave to them.
Let's break this down: Smoking, gambling, alcohol. In that order.
1) Smoking: Well, Nicoteine is pure evil...
a) more addictive than heroin.
b) gives no positive effects.
c) very likely to give you one or more of: cancer, heart disease, septic toes needing amputation etc.
d) makes your clothes and hair stink (and everyone else's in your immediate environment).
e) ruins your complexion because it saps the vitamins both externally and internally from your skin, as well as causing wrinkles from habitual squinting and grimacing.
e) is (quite rightly) expensive.
2) Gambling is ok as an occaisional entertainment but utterly stupid if you expect to make money out of it. Spend say a pound per week as a cheap thrill.
So - do either:
a) a regular cheap gamble like the lottery once per week
or:
b) a fiver a month on a grand, social spectacle event - for example football cup finals or the Eurovision song contest or Xmas number one in the hit parade.
3) Alcohol - a good servant and a cruel master or whatever the quote is.
a) A mild depressant.
b) reasonably cheap.
c) quite a strong psychological effect, releasing tension, freeing the mind etc.
d) can be habit-forming, if not watched.
e) socially acceptable and even has a positive effect on inter-personal relationships (in small doses).
f) can release inhibitions, resulting in negative actions such as stripping naked, fighting, arguing with spouse etc. etc.
All in all my advice is to avoid smoking altogether and dabble in alcohol. You could try gambling too but it doesn't have so many positive effects.

play poker on net for fun
or play poker in torements for cheap at casions stay away from blackjack and roulette etc and bandits
addiction depends on each individual and you mental make up and state of mind

It's not good to smoke, gamble and take drugs unless you go all the way and start seeing hookers too.
No, they are not addictive at all-just mildly fatal sometimes.

Drugs - only addictive if you live long enough to get hooked
Smoking- not addictive if you set yourself on fire
Gambling- not permanently addictive because you will end up in jail for stealing to try and pay of your debts
Why not try glass eating ,homosexuality , and bungee jumping all are much safer

Bah! Everything in moderation. There are people with OCD who addictively check to make sure they locked their front door. It's not only alcohol and gambling that's addictive.

NO! Who told you that lie??? It is perfectly ok for you to smoke, drink, gamble and take drugs. I have even heard if you add in a pinch of criminal behavior your skin will stay clear...

No, if you do all of them at the same time, the different actions will counter-act each other. Perfectly safe. Good news is you can probably buy the drugs near the casino ( if you're looking at atlantic city...). So thats nice.

Its an urban myth, you should start doing all of those things without any moderation whatsoever. And ask anybody who takes this question seriously to join you.
