in my experience, dog eats grass if they are not feeling well. this is their natural instinct to help them survive in the wild ages ago. it will help them throw up the food/hair that they ingest and will make them feel better. cats do the same thing.
if you notice that your dog changed its normal habit (from a jolly one to sleeping-all-day one) better go to your nearest vet for a check up

Some dogs eat grass to help their upset tummy, but some, like my dogs, like to eat it just because it's so fun. They get really great dog food and lots of fresh veggies and fruit, so it's not because their diet is lacking.
Dogs that eat grass will be okay as long as they don't eat any plant that is poisonous or grass that has been treated with harmful chemicals.

No but some plants can make your dog sick. Talk to your vet.

Usually when dogs eats plants it means they might have an upset stomach it's completely normal. =)

They eat grass but can't digest it. I notice, mine only like certain kinds of grass too. They vomit it because its not digestable. Sometimes it will accumilate for days then it will come up. Don't let your dog eat plants. Many are toxic and or poisonous.

no it means thier lacking it in thier diet in the wild the dog gets the plants from the anamals it kills but in captivity many dog foods do not have plant matter in them so your dog is eating the plants to make up for it

no its not dogs eat plant just like cats its normal although some dogs do eat them and then get sick but not really sick thy just throw up fodd or furballs

I was told they do it because their diet is lacking something that they can get from the plants....unfortunately they don't understand that their stomachs can't handle too much plant matter and then they vomit

Most dogs will normally eat grass so they can regurgitate and relieve an upset stomach.
