this is a matter of opinion, but if you ask me, the ot 6 isn't the best rifle for hunting. it's slow and it doesn't have as flat of a trajectory as some other calibers. it really depends on how well you shoot it. if you can place the bullet where you want at the distances u will be shooting at then this caliber is fine for medium size game. i fyou will be hunting large game elk, bear, moose or the likes you might want to try something a little larger like a 300 or so. like i said that is my opinion

The .30-06 Springfield is a very good, all around round for hunting North American game. It is a bit on the 'big' side, but very versatile as far as bullet weights go. It has taken everything from Moose to deer, Grizzly bear to Black bear.

great deer rifle but my favorite gun is the Henry big boy 44 magnum with the octogon barrel no scope

Good caliber, but dated. There are others out there that handle some tasks better, but it is a good all around gun with the right ammo.

its not a rifle. its a cartridge. in war in was used in machine guns and used today in hunting big game.
