Think god people are noticing. Not only are they trying to take our dogs but they are trying to take our right to own pets. This is the kind of law PETA likes. They want to make it were there is no zoos, animals in circuses, service dogs and we all go vegan. stand up and fight now before it is to late

I've been aware that these BSL's apply to many other breeds along with pits for a long time but I've never seen one this outrageous.
But I will admit that I saw 2 things that may very well be good things out of all that was written.
Altho I know many good, responsible breeders won't agree, registering the pups at birth and paying a $300.00 Breeder fee might deter alot of fools thinking they'll make a ton of money off their dogs and they'll think very hard about trying.
If those 2 were put into place alone the price of a good quality pup would of course go up.But there would'nt be so much competition for the breeders by having their market flooded with lesser or poor quality pups that are priced cheaper cos backyard breeders want the money without doing anything to get it.They don't want to spend a big chunk of change before they can reap the rewards.
Fewer pups mean fewer abused animals.Fewer animals sitting in cages at the local pound waiting for a new home or to be put down.Fewer animals housed with rescue orgs.being rehabilitated and trained to be ready for a new home.
What I don't understand is why whoever wrote this thing had to ruin it by adding in all that ignorance.

The way the law is written is overkill. It almost seems like the person who was asked to draft it put in so many prohibited animals, that it is bound to fail. I didn't realize my hamster was so dangerous! What happens if you have a mouse infestation? I don't think the laws area just about pits. I think there was a rash of dog bites, followed by public outcry to do something.

I live in Arkansas and own pit bulls and rottweilers. And it scares me to hear about this kind of crap going on in other states because it won't take long for it to reach my home town. Like in Pine bluff, AR They are making all pit and rott owners get $10,000 worth of insurance on each of their dogs and they can not have more than 3 of these dogs. And if the dog owners refuse to comply the law will have the dog put down.

That is the saddest part. Most people who are all for Pits being banned are totally clueless that it includes Boxers, Chows, German Shepards, Rotts, Dobermans, and the list goes on and on. That is why people need to get educated instead of believing everything they see on the news. the Media are so one agenda it is sad.

They want to get rid of dogs that are capable of protecting you for the same reason they want to get rid of hand guns. It makes it much easier for the police to kick in your door and take you away in the middle of the night.

probably.....lota people don't realise that ALL dogs have the potential to be dangerous, it is the owners/trainers that are the dangerous ones NOT the dogs
