In Junior High School, I was completing my sixth Rocket test. I decided to make a bigger Rocket. It stood 6ft tall and 24" in width. I had 100 box of match heads and gun poser mixed with salt peter.

My fuse was made of cotton clothe and gun powder.. When we decided to launch my Rocket, we hid behind the house. That morning on August 5, 1975, was a morning I would never forget.
The Rocket exploded shattering all windows in the back of the house, and my neighbors houses. There was a 3 ft crater in my back yard in the ground.
I was arrested and taken to the MP Station. My father recieved a DR from the Post Commander. He almost lost a stripe.
To this day. every time someone mentions Juniopr High School, I have a constant reminder how much of an idiot I was and that I alsmot killed my self and my friends, but that was hell of a Rocket that never left the ground. It exploded on impact for the fuse.

Well, it's been awhile since I was in Junior High, and it's been since like never that was a girl in junior high, so I'm sure all of my advice is completely wrong, but hey, I like to talk so here it goes:

- Uhm, just like OMG be your self and stuff.

Seriously tho, JH for a girl I hear is rather treachorous with regards to clicks and power bithc hes and all. So, I would ignore all that bs. It's just superficial bs that nobody gives a dang about when they are in college and beyond.

One of the easiest ways to start a conversation in school is:

"have you done the assignment for..."
or

"when are going to study for...."
or

"what did you get for #3......"

Stick with school stuff, being a nerd pays off in the long run. Stay away from any fashion type crud from chicks you don't know, cuz (and no offense here) yall are kind of catty and tend to feed on each other, especially at this age. It's a wonder yall survive at all ;-)

Be yourself. You'll earn respect that way, and respect is a great foundation to build new friendships.Resist the peer pressure to do stupid things.Other new student might find the courage to do the same thing as you, and soon you'll find new friends that you have something in common with, and it will be smooth sailing from there. also asking a new kid the same question you asked here wouldn't be bad either. I'm sure they'll be wondering the same thing. good luck I think you will make a great friend.

Smiling is always a good start & if you're not comfortable at first, then just keep your body language open and don't go any further than 'Hi, my name is .....' Keep your eyes open & watch. Listen to the people around you & try to decide who might have interests close to yours. Then go ahead and try to engage them with a little bit more about yourself.

Maybe ask them what their hobbies are, favorite subject, or even pets. Pets are always a good common topic for people to talk about.

Hope that helps!

Everyone loves to get a compliment...so give one.... example: " I really think your ..(purse,backpack, shoes, necklace, earrings or what ever you admire ) is/are cool." When they say "Thank you" you reply with " Hi my name is Kar, what's yours?" and then go from there . Smile,be honest and be yourself.
Also, Dale Carnegie wrote a book a long time ago called ' How to win friends and influence people' it is still considered to be the Best book for anyone to read, even in the present time. All business men and women read it.

Well you can start by just saying hi, and take it from there you can ask either a guy or girl from your classes what school there from, or how do they like that class so far? Be friendly and always keep a smile on your face. Trust me it works like a charm.

Just remember that everyone else in your class is new to junior high too. Chances are you aren't the only one who didn't get the same classes as their friends. So just smile and introduce yourself.

Comment on whatever you're doing. That's how I made my first middle school friend. I asked where a field was, and then we started laughing because there were SO MANY fields and they all had different names and it was just...confusing. So we started laughing about it.
Or just say 'Hi, I'm ...." That always works.

Be yourself. Ask questions to those you would like to get to know. Don't hang with the wrong crowd. You sometimes have to be the one to start the conversation maybe with a little joke.
