Come on over! I'm sure you're going to get sh*tfaced enough for me to look good. Your tolerance is probobly really low so I won't even have to share that much alcohol with you.

Just wear your bathing suit underneath your clothes, I'm sure you're going to be needing it.

Go to a meeting.
Call your sponsor.
Call several other AA members.
Avoid HALT - Hungry, Angry, Lonely, or Tired.
Read the Big Book or the 12-n-12.
Write down notes about your feelings.
Leave your current situation and go somewhere comfortable.
Think about the outcomes of drinking.
If you want to drink, you are going to. But if you want to stay sober, you can do that too.
Hope everything works out.

Well if you've put in 5 years then relax obviously you don't have a problem with alcohol. I would suggest that you have a glass of wine with a friend over dinner and just relax. If you feel the need to finish the bottle then go back on the wagon. And give it another 5 years. Then main point is people change and just because you went through bad times in past doesn't mean your that person now. But approach it intelligently, test yourself.

Drink some water and pray
remember there is so much more to life than drinking alcohol can ever give you. find something to enjoy in life. l'm 10 years with out any drugs or alcohol l don't miss it at all. l enjoy healthy eating, cooking vegetarian teaching others to cook vegetarian. l also enjoy hiking ,camping, kayaking and many other activities without alcohol or drugs the hardest thing to do was to find new friends who were active and out going. Church is a good place to start. Going out for a drink will only meet you with the wrong kind of people.

Sure, how about a case of beer, and maybe twenty shots( you choose the liquor). Then get sick, feel like hell in the morning. Oh, and while you were toasted, your spouse took the kids and left, and your boss called and said you were fired, because you decided that would be a good time to call him up and tell him how much he sucked. you are being evicted because you used the rent money to fund your night of "Fun". Oh, and that knock on your door is the police that have come to arrest you, because you went cruising, and run over a pedestrian. Still ready for that drink?

Surely you remember the bad times and how really bad and out of control you felt then. Think about how much control you feel now - I mean control over your actions and circumstances. You are in control now and you don't want to give that up.

I've been off it for about a year now. No going back. Remember, this is the first day in the rest of your life... 1 day at a time...

Sit back.... take a deep breath. Now, pick up the phone..... call someone you know will talk with you and have an open mind. Someone who you know will listen, not judge and especially not be encouraging to it. I know you can do it. Coming this far and picking up the bottle again, It's not going to make you feel better. All it's going to do is make you feel bad, mad at yourself and you'll be right back where you started. Hell... call me if you have to! I hope you'll do the right thing. Take care.

Go look at yourself in the mirror, actually look yourself in the eyes. Take a moment to remember what your life was like 5 years ago. Get yourself to a meeting ASAP and take a close look at the Newbies and the horrible scared looks that they have on their faces, remind yourself of how that feels. Then share your story to strengthen yourself and motivate others.......Do it RIGHT NOW every second you don't you are risking you LIFE

Five years of hard work is never worth one night of drinking- can you imagine just erasing the past 5 years and having to do it all over again? Your too strong to be that weak.
