I don't understand, what exactly is the problem?

As far as I see it, you like someone, who is already spoken for. Get over it, it happens all the time.
Find someone else.

You can do one of two things

1. Accept the fact that he has a GF. Respect that part of who he is because when you like someone that much you want what is best for that person. Once you have accepted the fact that he, is dating someone, then attend the bday party and enjoy yourself without making anyone feel uncomfortable.

2. Take someone with you that way there won't be a problem.

Look, I seriously think this is an obsession/infatuation. There are so many people out there and you are stuck on someone who apparently is committed to his relationship. Why would you want to mess with something like that. I believe you are a better person then to be wasting you time. The more you spend time on this infatuation the more you are letting other people pass ou by.

Why get so wrapped up with that one person, that we fail to see what's happening around. Girl move on have fun at the party, leave that couple alone and find yourself someone else to spend the day with.

You should go to the party, be gracious and kind to them as a couple and be friendly with everyone! So what if you like him. As long as you have not made any inappropriate moves on him you have done nothing wrong. His girlfriend should be secure enough in their relationship to be nice back to you.
Maybe you just think he is treating you weird? He should be flattered that somebody else has a crush on him. However, he is obviously happy with his current girlfriend. It is time for you to move on for now. Until if and when he may ever be single. If you have a good guy friend, this is the time to ask him to the party with you. To be your date and only a friends date. Or you could invite another girlfriend to go with you. Your best friend should be able to help you through this. It is hardest for you, because you know how you are still feeling for this man. But you must close out your feelings and go and be friendly with all. You just might meet somebody new! Have fun!

You're not obligated to go to a birthday party just because somebody is your best friend. If you are not comfortable with attending tell your friend, and if she is your best friend she should respect your wishes. Especially after you tell her the reason why..

Also, stop liking the guy. Why are you putting so much energy into a guy that clearly is not interested in reciprocating? You do not want to make him think you are easy or anything like that, otherwise he might just try to have a little trist with you on the side, but still choose his girlfriend over you.

And you do not want to be involved with a guy like that.

So you liked this guy big deal! He heard that you liked him from other people! He doesn't know if it's true or not. So just go and be yourself and have fun. Or better yet go with a group of friends to the party. The more guy friends the better.
If ya run into his g/f just compliment her on her hair or something and move on tell her your looking for the bathroom. Who cares what he thinks! Just treat him like he does you and start looking around for another SINGLE cute guy! Hope it helps!

Go to the party. Have fun. Dont worry about the guy or his gf. Just be cool. It is more important to have fun a your best friends party than to worry about what someone you really dont know thinks.

PS parties are good places to meet guys. Check out the other dudes there.

Go to the party! She's your friend! Can you bring someone with you, someone that you would feel comfortable with, male or female!?Maybe someone going is a close friend that you could hang around with? "If" you decide to go, the thing is you have to forget how you feel about him and remember the reason you are there is for you friend, not him! Let them do their thing and you do yours! Enjoy being with your friends, that's what parties are for! I'm sure he'll be a little surprized to see you there also! Stay clear of them as much as possible{ and i'm sure he'll stay clear of you} He may even leave if he feels uncomfortable If you find yourself in a position where your forced to be around them then the only thing you can and should do is act like it doesn't bother you , be friendly {not aggressive or clingy} and just remember why your there and have fun with "everybody"! Who knows, you might just end up meeting someone else you could like! Go, have fun and let it go, she's you best friend, do it for her!

Well you could refuse to go, but that's not fair to your best friend. The thing to do, is go, and just be friendly to the guy and his girl friend. You don't have to get too close, but if you bump into them, which is likely, just say hi, and smile. Just don't to all weirdo on them. Find some other friend, to hang out with, and try and avoid eye contact with the couple.
If you had a boyfriend, or can find one, by them, that would certainly smooth matters out, if they see that you have moved on.
Can you rope a close friend, to pretend for a day, that you are dating? Sure would make things easier.
If you can't, just be nice, and be friendly, he'll just think it was all a mistake.

Well best thing to do is act casual and if the conversation comes up just inform the GF(if she asks) that you had feelings for her BF in the past but there are no other sparks there now. Play it cool and try not to pay to much attention to him or the GF will get very the clue that there is more there.

go, talk to him, but don't do anything really. Don't hang around him the whole time, and try to be nice to both him and his girlfriend. I think this is an important one: If he's there when you arrive and he's talking to his girlfriend, you should go up and say hi to him while she's there. Give her a nice smile too; this shows that you guys have nothing to hide so his girlfriend won't be angry with either of you. Then, if they break up in the future, you won't have screwed up your chances. Sound good? Good luck. :)
