it's an automatic response to disguise nervousness. smiling somewhat gives an impression that youre at ease when in fact, youre not. i do that too often. =)

I do it too! there is a girl I know who everybody laughs at because she smiles loads, like all the time and my friend asked her why she smiles alot and she said because she was nervous too, I'm not too sure as to why we do it though.

Good question. I usually just stutter sometimes or overthink things when I'm nervous. Never thought about it before. I might be doing it without realizing it
