This war is not over it's just taking a breather. Rounds 1+2 go to Hezbollah. They are still here there hurt the IDF pretty badly wiping out an entire company worth of Israeli troops. They made the Israelis start looking for a way out of this no win situation. They know it's a no win situation because they tried this move from 1982-1994 they couldn't win then they can't win now there forces are not designed to take on a guerrilla force. Just like ours in Iraq. Don't feel bad no army has ever defeated an insurgency that is so supported by there people. Hezbollah will grow stronger when it starts rebuilding peoples homes in Lebanon which according to news reports is already happening. The democratic gov't is now so much weaker than it was before. as for the UN/leb army to occupy south Lebanon they will stop nothing we can't stop car bombs in Baghdad how will the UN/leb army going to stop Hezbollah from shooting rockets every now and again? Even if they could it would not be long before Hezbollah beat them up and forced them to leave.

This is not necessarily a war. This is a battle against the Radical Muslim state of Iran much like the so called "war" in Iraq. Democracies around the world such as Israel, The USA, and the UK all know that Iran is going to have to be dealt with.

Israel agrees to this cease fire all the while knowing that they can sit back and wait for Iran to attempt to re-arm Hezbollah Once that happens they will have evidence of Iran destabilizing the Middle East. They can then take Iran before the UN in an attempt to bring justified military actions against the terror state know as Iran.

israel is not at war with lebanon. israel is at war with hizbollah. when the shooting stops it will be the lebaese people who will hold nasrallah to account. he's got some very fast fancy foot work to do in the next 48 - 78 hours. and iran will be needing to transfer about a billion dollars if he has any chance to survive.

That's kind of hard to believe, because Israel hasn't been at war with Lebanon anytime in the past decade or so.

They lost if the standard is a military one : They lost more soldiers than they killed and they didn't accomplish any of the targets they said they would.
If killing civilians is the standard, they always won and even better they find some one else to blame too ...
