The Tiburon in essence is a nice car, but the downisde is that it's gained the sterotype of being a womans car. This is the sad but unfortunate truth. If you can forget this stupid sterotype and look into the overall performance of the car than yes it's a good buy. Hyundai has been drasticall improving over the yars as a quality car manufacturer. I'd look at an 04+ model because quality had drastically improved throughout those years.

I'll give you a brief overlook at the 2005 Tiburon. It comes in 4 models, the GS, GT, GT LTD and SE. All of such models have the 2.7L V6 with 172bhp, except the GS which has a meek 138bhp from a 2.0L I-4. I'd suggest a GT because you're getting the best bang for buck.

I had an 06 SE. I traded it after 7 months because the transmission made some awful sounds. I took it to one dealer, they told me I didn't know how to drive. Took it to another dealer, they admitted that something is terribly wrong but that the corporate policy is not to replace until the transmission actually breaks.

I called corporate and they said that engineers looked at my car (of course, the date they "looked" at the car was a day that it actually wasn't in the shop) and determined that it was functioning within normal limits and that the aluminum can sounds from the transmission (which is REALLY embarrassing trying to drive down the road) did not constitute an issue.

Hyundais are good cars, but unlike other manufacturers, they refuse to stand behind their products. In fact, we may be trading our Santa Fe in this weekend because of poor customer service across the board.

Just remember, you get what you pay for.

Oh, absolutely - it is awesome. I have an '06 model, black, and I love it. I just got it in June. Mine's the GT model, it's a V6. It comes standard with a 6 disc CD player, sunroof, side airbags, power lock/windows, cruise. I looked up information about it on the web before I bought one. It has great ratings for safety and performance. My husband said he didn't want me to get one unless it had a good warranty because of the past reputation of Hyundai. But they have improved. It has a 10 year/100,000 mi powertrain warranty and a 5 year bumper-to-bumper warranty. It is a small car, but my husband is 5'11" and he has enough room when he drives it. The interior of mine is very nice, too - it's black with red stitching and the seats are red with black mesh. Sounds wierd, but it looks nice. The gas mileage isn't that bad either for a V6 sporty car. As long as you don't have kids and don't plan on hauling people in your backseat often, then I recommend it.

I have an 05 Tiburon. It is small, but I am a small gal. It does ride rather rough, a lot of road noise and bumps. No one can sit in the backseat so I just use that for shopping purposes. I am young so it is a fun car for now but probably next year I will trade it for a more sensible vehicle and I want to have a child so in essence, it is certainly not practicle for children. All in all, it'a cool car.

I must say that I myself was interested in buying this car, I did find this car to be a very sexy car and catching my eye is something it really did. There is one thing that made not buy it, I found it to be a little compact inside, because of my height. If I was not as tall I would be have one now.... I must say Hyundai did a really great job, putting this baby together. If you do make the choice in buying one enjoy your self, and congratulations with your new baby.

The Hyundai Sonata V6 is amazingly quickly as vehicle and driving force magazine clocked the 0-60mph at 6.6 seconds. The question is, what's extra considerable to you, ability or gas performance? The 4-cylinder is an excellent engine and a lot useful. Is it properly worth playing? gas expenses might pass down yet regardless of the certainty that yet another Katrina ought to hit the Gulf Coast and we could be caught paying $5 a gallon. i desire to propose the two vehicles (the V6 and Inline 4) yet you will might desire to ascertain which suits your needs superb. it rather is hardship-free for me to assert the V6 yet then I won't in any respect be finding out to purchase the gas. do not hear to every person telling you to in basic terms purchase American, or eastern and so on. that's a international industry and each automaker has their united statesand downs. The Hyundai Sonata is supplied in Alabama while the hot Ford Fusion ( an excellent vehicle little doubt) is made in Mexico. finding out to purchase from one united states or yet another is mindless. in simple terms purchase the superb vehicle in spite of the place the mailbox of the top place of work is placed.

nice cars. If your young its a neat car. They ride rough tough to see out of and low clearance in the back seat for people to sit due to the hatch. No real problems with teh car, other than window motor issues. Last class I was at for Hyundai the 08 model was mentioned and rumored about a rwd v8 model so you might wait if you can.
