Yeah, and she was very subtle about it. The scary part is that you COULD become it. That's why people need to understand that a relationship is about sharing each other, not influencing each other. You can inspire each other to want to be better, but never have a secret agenda to get the person to be what you want. It's important to go into a relationship knowing who you are, or at least being committed to sticking to becoming what YOU want to be. I don't care how great a girl is, it's never worth sacrificing your free will.

I had a boyfriend who wanted me to look like this movie star and model. To begin with my hair is not long and straight, I am not that tall, and...ugh... I am a completely different person. If he liked that type of girl, why in the world did he ask me to be his girlfriend? I just know that this is me and I am not going to adjust to anybody. If somebody doesn't like me the door is open; I don't need that type of person in my life.

yeh, I was expected but not forced to stay at home lookafter the lil one, and when money was short I was expected to get a £3.00 per hour job, and help the family financially and take care of all the finances, but I though to myself that ive had enough, I took care of everything only for myself and my son and ended up at uni, im now in my second year and loving it. it shows if you try to mold someone in to the way you want it may work for a bit, but is only a temp thing

no - you should never let someone try & mold you into someone or something you don't want to be. be happy to be who you are - that's why we're all as different as can be & that's what makes us each unique! don't ever let anyone take that from you.

A boyfriend who wanted me to be a "Barbie" to his "Ken". They still don't make "tomboy" Barbie. A couple boyfriends who wanted me to turn into the desperate, needy and clingy type (Not likely).

You just have to realize that who YOU are, is waaaay more important than who THEY want you to be.

Yes and it didn't work. (It never does. If you change FOR someone, you will change back because of them, and you will resent them for trying to make you something you are not). I am who I am and can never be what he wanted me to be. I am very proud of who and what I am.

yeah, an old boyfriend. He wanted me to be like the people he was used to, rich and rather snobby. So, that didn't work out. Be who you are, not who others want you to be.
