I read the Bible every day. Not only is it the word of God, but it's also a very good source of practical advice for every-day life. You should too, if you don’t. :)

I don't read the Bible at all, and here's why. I think that religious believers are truly blessed with a very special gift?

The violent troubles around our world are clearly associated with various religious factions. Scientists have published details about the “warrior” gene and the “spiritual or religious” gene which shows that certain people are genetically predisposed to violence and/or religion. Scientists have also published that religion could be the result of mental illness. This makes sound sense in our deeply troubled world.

It’s also a well known fact that intellectually handicapped people are often quoted as being the happiest people in the world. They are so blissfully unaware of the true world around them, and see and believe reality to be quite different in their mental worlds.

I think religious people are blessed with a similar “handicapped” gift which would could explain why the see and believe in the imaginary world of religion, God and the Bible. I think religious people are also blissfully unaware of reality in their mentally handicapped world. This could help, explain their irrational behaviour.

I read my Bible everyday. The exception, of course, is if I am sick. I start everyday with 5 chapters of Psalms, 1 chapter of Proverbs, and I read at least a chapter or 2 from a New Testament book. We need to read the Bible to strengthen us, guide us, purify us, and reveal God's will to us. I LOVE God's Word!
I have a little Internet ministry in which I send people free easy-to-understand Bibles. If you need one, contact me.

As an Asatruar (Norse Pagan/Heathen), funnily enough I occasionally have a read, my main purpose is research, I am interested in most religions and like to have knowledge of their holy books, rituals and practices.

I also enjoy finding the recycled stories that were put there by early christian missionaries to make conversion easier for the pagan peoples.

I need to read it more, should read it daily! This is food for the spirit, don't read and starve the Spirit, become weak in your walk!
I'm sorry some don't read God's Word.

For you to know how often I read the Bible is not one iota important to me. I read the Bible to please myself, and to learn, and hope that what I learn is pleasing to God.

I try and read it every night before I go to bed because there's nothing like reading the Word of God before you pray and close your eyes...

Be Blessed...
