Hr Management is meeting the needs of the organization . I have been in HR for 12 years. It is aligning the business strategy of the Dept with the HR Dept.
Typically we are ensuring the company is meeting their legal requirements, health and safety requirements, developing policies and procedures to help the company meet their objectives. We look after hiring, firing, training and development, safety, wellness, employee development, employee and labor relations issues, performance management of employees.

Making sure there are the people (human resources) to get the job done.
That could include, but is not limited to:
developing tools to determine staffing requirements
all elements of hiring staff (from advertising vacancies, interviewing, hiring, etc.)
creating schedules
allocating holiday allowances
reviewing staffing
working with other departments to research staffing requirements for other projects (like a new product launch)
It's a wide spectrum job.

Basically, Human resources managers work in large companies ( government , banks, multinational corporations)
They develop policies and standards on hiring employees, they set compensation, salary, benefits based on company standards, needs, and demands. They also develop training and personal development programs for employees to learn new skills and improve their work performance on the job. They also create incentive programs to motivate employees to achieve certain accomplishments in order to obtain promotions and salary increases.
