A good buddy of mine is also going through a similar situation. But he has custody of his granddaughter because of the childs mother being a junkie. Sounds like your parents are doing the right thing for these kids. I realize that it is an expense but where else can these children go. A foster home I guess, if your parents would feel better having these family members being taken care of by total strangers than all they have to do is call the CPS and let them know that they do not wnat the responsibility of raising these children any longer.
If these kids parents are out partying and having the time of their lives they have only themselves to answer to. So I guess what I'm saying is that your parents and yourself also should be proud of what your doing to try and support and love these children. Karma is strange and it will be good for your clan and may prove to be not so good to the natural parents of these children.
Your family is doing what people used to do years ago, look after their own. So be proud of what you are doing. And if it means that you don't get as many treats etc. as usual I'm sure that over time you will come to feel good about what you are trying to do. Best of luck.

Bite the bullet and continue to do what is right by those helpless kids. They did not asked to be put in a situation like that, but they should be greatful to have a wonderful aunt like you!
I would go after the parents for child support and state the very reasons to social services that you stated here. The parents have to take care of the kids, and I'm surprised cps did ot try to enforce it sooner.
Again, bite the bullet and continue to bless those babies with a roof over their heads, and food in their stomaches, if you do your part, and don't worry about the parents ( I know it's hard) the rewards for doing it will be worth the wait in the end!

First and foremost.......it's about the children. Remember.
Who will take care of them and who may kill them.
You say you feel like the enemy. As far as they are concerned you are. You have their kids against their will.
But you have to know you are the only hope these kids have of having a normal life. CPS is a very serious problem and not to be taken lightly. Children have died when left with parents suffering from this.
You can't let the fact they think there is nothing wrong with them effect what you do. Yes it is difficult for you. You have two children that you didn't have but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.
When you see those kids on through high school and then become productive people you will have your reward. It will be only because of you.

First off keep records of everything you receive in the way of assistance from the State.
Secondly, if they are paying any child support, the State is taking it to pay for the money they are sending you.
Third, six hundred is alot for two kids, there is no point in being greedy. I raised five kids on about a thousand a month, and that was MY income, no child support

I think you should confront then with it. Tell them that they are not being helpful as parents even though you are raising them. They still need to help financially with the children no matter what. And get everything under control.

File for child support against the natural parents. The court will force them to deal with you, and will force them to financially support the kids. As far as them calling to see how they are, I wouldn't worry about that- it sounds like these kids are better off without them, and contact with them would do them more harm than good anyway. Good luck!

sounds like they are using you. could all be an act to get the children out of their lives. have some friends follow them and take pictures if possible then see a lawyer yourself and see what your options are.

I took care of my niece while her mother was in rehab. It was hard and expensive but I did it because it was the right thing to do. You will never regret doing the right thing for innocent children.
