Ok..i am 16 year old and i am about 250 and i know that i really need to lose weight to get a man and to look good! i just want to lose a nice amount before christmas..i have a fear of not being able to fit i n a plane seat or on a theme park ride! i am so determined! Also, not a lot of guys like girls that are overweight!!! can someone pleanse give me an anwser!

The Atkins has worked for me...but as soon as you get off of it, you'll gain all of your weight back (plus some), UNLESS you work out like crazy and get on another diet. I've found it's the best diet to lose a lot of weight fast.

I think the best long-term diet is a less than 2,000 calories a day diet and exercise. I know, BLAH, EXERCISE?! Just less than 2,000 calories a day without exercise, and you'll lose weight.

One of the best things is to cut out the junk food....sugary sweets, sodas, cereal with sugar..... I did this and lost 5 pounds in less than 2 weeks. It doesn't sound like a lot but that could be 10 pounds a month. Also excercise (I know it is hard...at first) is really important. 3-5 times a week, either walking or even dancing around your house for 30-45mins. It does work best if you can get a friend to do it with you. GOOD LUCK and keep the faith.
