ive ran scans and dont even have yahoo installed but still i have this page i cant close it it just sits there in the background with my desktop icons on top it looks like a web page but has no address bar!!!!!
please can someone help i would be greatfull

Sounds like you somehow chose a yahoo web page as your Desktop background.
Easy to change though, RIGHT CLICK on an empty area of thr desktop, then Click on PROPERTIES< and then DESKTOP then simply choose another background.

Sounds like an active desktop component. Go to your control panel and open desktop properties. look for web options (in Windows XP, go to the Desktop tab, then click on the Customize Desktop button, then click the Web tab.
You might also want to check your start up items, and maybe even run a virus scan and a spyware scan.

right click a blank spot on desk-top
left click properties
left click desktop
scroll through pick none
right now it is set on internet explorer wallpaper, after you do this you will be able to choose desktop u like most
