It's awesome to know that there are people out there who will at least put their part in when asking for a favor rather than act like they deserved it! wish there were more people like you out there :)
You don't need a license when you got such great friends helping you out and giving you a ride to places you want to get to, There is nothing great about owning a car believe me! besides using it to travel from point A to point B you have to worry about gas .. maitnenance ... insurance ... oy it's a headache! another option you can try is also commuting :) kids love seeing how people act and they love the attention strangers are giving them specially when they happen to have a little one themselves! boy do they get happy!
If you ever feel the need to get a license and get a car? think of it this way ... every penny saved will be saved towards your kid's future .. college fees .. books ... clothes .. etc etc! i have a car but i got it when i was single .. if i could go back in time i probably wouldn't of bought it :)

It is not wrong to have children and not a have a drivers license but you do have to keep in mind that when your child gets sick in the middle of the night and you want to rush it to the ER you will be wishing you had your own transportation. Ask one of your friends or family members if they can teach you how to drive. My mom taught me by letting me drive at the cemetery. GOOD LUCK

A driver's license is not necessary to have children, but you should be prepared in case of an emergency. Will you be able to drive your child to a hospital, or get a ride in such a case? If you live somewhere with good public transportation, it may not be much of a worry.

Having children has nothing to do with having a driver's license. Though it sure as hell would make your life easier if you did. But if your arrangements are working for you, then by all means go for it. you're saving a ton of money not having to pay for a car or the recurring insurance for it.
At the very least go to the DMV to get yourself a State ID.

Just don't do that with your children, maybe take a driving course sounds like you are N.E., maybe NY. Practice w/o the babies in tow. Slow careful, be aware of your surroundings!! I drive a concrete mixer, take your time and don't worry about people around you getting mad because you drive too slow. Stay off the interstate. If they are in that big of a hurry they should have left 10 min. earlier. Good luck. SEATBELT!

Well, a long time ago most women didn't drive. My gram had to take the bus everywhere..even after she had kids. It's not horrible. If you just never learned you never did. If you want to get your licence you can take classes and then take the test. It may be difficult with a baby to depend on others though but it can be done. Good luck!

NO why would it be?? In this country we all assume so much but in other countries most ppl don't drive or have a license to do so. It may be something you want to learn just to know...plus when your kids get older and you start sports and lessons and things it will make your life easier.

Having a drivers license and having children are two unrelated things. If you have found a creative way to get around not having your license, I give you credit for your creativity. That said, as long as you are not upsetting your friends by asking for rides I wouldn't worry about it.

it's not wrong, but to feel more independent and to be able to do things for you and your kids, you can still go and learn how to drive. Its the best thing that could happen to you. Besides not to scare you but what if (God forbide) something happens to your kids you dont want to wait for someone to come take you. Especially in the summer to be able to get up and go and have fun with the kids. Don't miss out. It's never to late to improve yourself!!
