early visibile signs re yellowing of the skin or of the whites of the eyes, bloating of the stomach (which becomes hard and fluid filled), and fatigue. you can have your doctor draw blood tests such as AST and ALT, which are liver enzymes. the higher your AST and ALT numbers are on the blood test, the more damage has been done to your liver by something like cirrhosis, hepatitis, or other liver disease. if your AST and ALT levels are high, your doc will usually run more specific tests such as hepatitis or start testing your for cirrhosis or hepatic encaphalopathy. if you suspect that you have a bad liver or if you have noticed any signs such as yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes i would contact your doctor immediately so you can get the right treatment.

you should only have a bad liver if you are over 35, an alcoholic, drug addict or...yeah that is about it... I am 16 and have the liver of a 60 year old alcoholic! Its because I am a drug addict! hahaha...
