As a father of a girl, I honestly feel there's nothing embarrassing about those endeavors. The needs for those items are just natural needs (Some may argue about the need for a bra) I just hope that my daughter will not have embarrassment of having her dad do such things. My sole purpose is to provide for my daughter & teach her the best I can about life.

I'm not a guy but I'll tell you about my father....when I was a teen he noticed my nipples stuck out and were visible through by bra so he started paying for my padded bras (I bought my own clothes on a $10/week allowance). I ordered them through the Sears catalogue back then and he paid. But he did go shopping with me once in KMart and I got stuck in a sundress. He got the saleslady to go in the dressing room to help me out of it. I was so embarassed and went straight to the car after than. My father told me to breath into a paper bag because I was hyperventilating. I'll never forget it. Dad and I were actually friends.

The question should really be directed to girls. Father by this time shouldn't have a problem. Then been doing this for a long time starting with mom them girlfriends and wives. Daughters nah that should be fun for the most part, just might pick some stuff up for yourself while your at it. except pads of course

Well, that is kind of a mom thing. Are you a single dad? If so then I suppose that it's fine. Is your daughter embarrassed or feel uncomfortable about the situation? If so, you might ask a friend of the fairer sex to step in for you.

It wouldn't bother me, but then I got over THAT years ago -- the time I dropped my daughter off at preschool and she asked me to go back and get her lunch out of the car, and I had to cross the street carrying a purple and pink My Little Pony lunch box. :-)
My 15YO daughter is embarrassed to shop for underwear at ALL, even with her mom, so I don't go out of consideration for her.
As for buying pads, I have no problem buying feminine products for anybody in my family (two teen daughters and my wife, who all use different brands).

I think your daughter might feel a little funny about it.
I am a female but my father raised me and always just said ask if you need ladies things and he would always make the money available for me

I would think the girls would be more embarassed than their fathers. I mean dad's gone around the block before. The daughter's new to this.

my dad wasn't he took me and he was the one that chose basicly all my bras!!! it wa embarassing for me more than him
