In ancient society , prior to the creation of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, gods were largely female. Women are the creators and bringers of life, therefore it made sense that they would be The Creator. Even in religions with multiple dieties the women were still represented. Only when Christianity and Islam and Judaism became widespread did you see the Female Goddess destroyed. Its a power thing more than anything else. As far as smarter, ask my wife.

Females are the smarter sex.

God is referred to as "God the Father" and "God the Son" -- and "God the Holy Spirit" is the one who impregnated Mary. That would suggest maleness for all three aspects of the Holy Trinity.

"God is female" presupposes that "God exists."

"Females are the smarter sex" implies some objective way to measure a multidimensional quality (not necessarily quantity) of intelligence.

Both are silly things to say, but the latter is easier to swallow.
