I just took bacon out of the freezer and put it in warm water for a few minutes to defrost. It did - the edges of the fatty part look browner than the new package I bought. The bacon smells just fine. Do you think it's okay?

It's probably fine, maybe a little freezer burnt but you shouldn't notice with a cured meat like bacon.

Bacon has been found in ancient Egyptian tombs in a perfectly preserved state. You cannot destroy the almighty BACON. Bacon cures baldness, impotence, shingles and herpes.

Eat! Enjoy! Do not heed the naysayers!

i freeze my bacon all the time and sometimes it will change coloring (because of the preservatives and such) but just to be safe id say to pull off the colored part - you never know if it would be freezer burnt or not.

Yes it's okay. After using the amount you need, put the rest back in the fridge.

Yes it will be fine as long as it wasn't in the warm water too long.
