Dont you just love these people that paste their answers? I dont like short answers but some of these people are just taking up way too much space and time. Anyway the occult is the practice of black magic, wicca, ect. A cult is a group of people that believe in something extreme and almost all the time false. A cult can be a few people or a whole community that devote their life to a religion and a belief and do not trust or communicate with people outside the group. The occult is a good thing, cults are not.

Occult is relating to supernatural beliefs or phenomena. A cult is a group of religious worship or ritual. Many cults dabble in the occult, although this is not necessary for it to be defined as a cult. One can partake in occult activities without being in a cult.

Ancient Egyptian mystery school teachings are occult in nature. Ancient Indians (Hindu) and Tibetan monks specialize in what the englishman consider to be occult, mysterious, supernatural, etc etc etc (note: the occult is NOT "evil" or "devil warshipping" or any mumbo jumbo horseshit expression. that's exactly like the christians saying Darwin was a harbringer of "the devil" because his studies don't concur with christian theology.)

A cult is a group of people practicing the Occult. Usually that group consists of 12 members, called a coven. The Occult is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo, just like every other belief system based on myth, folklore, and the fear of dying. In western religion, I guess you could call it the "fear of frying."

occult is something that has to do we evil/the devil (according to christians this includes things like Care Bears or Rainbow Bright). a cult is a rock band, ha ha.... seriously, a cult (according to christians) is a group of people who have a belief system that is not considered christian.
