its mainly irritation. all of the diarrhea causes your anus to be irritated and inflammed. also, sometimes if you dont clean all the diarrhea as well as you should (ok its gross i know but it happens) then it will cause some irritation. make sure you are cleaning that area the best you can and using baby wipes if you have to.

Probably because the mucus that protects your anus is being washed away by the diarrhea (and being wiped away every time you wipe). So the skin is being exposed to the air and it is drying out (becoming chapped, just like chapped lips).

Try petroleum jelly (Or Neosporin ointment, since it has both petroleum jelly and antibacterial ingredients).

The reason for that is the erosive effect of a fast-moving liquid upon the sphincteric surface. Once the velocity of the stream crosses 55mph, you are doing serious damage.

Drive at the legal limit and you'll do fine.

The best relief is a nice shower. Use soap and a bath cloth. Clean yourself.

If you cannot shower, use wet wipes. The point is clean yourself.

You may have hemoroids. Or possibly you eat too many jalapenos.
