What is "forking"
Why would you do something to someone else?
And you have a minister leading you?

not so much a spiritual application but I have over and over again heard the story about the lady who wanted to be buried with a fork, so I looked it up for you....here goes.....

"Keep Your Fork"

A lady was diagnosed with a terminal illness and was given 3 months to live. As she was getting her affairs in order, she called her pastor and asked for him to come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes. She told him which songs she wanted sung at the service, what scriptures she wanted read, and what dress she wanted to be buried in. She also requested to be buried with her favorite Bible in her left hand. Just one more thing this is very important to me, I want to be buried with a fork in my right hand."

The pastor gazed at the lady, with a loss for words. "That surprises you, doesn't it?" The pastor replied "Well to be quite honest, I'm puzzled by the request". The lady explained. "You see, pastor, in all my years of attending church socials and potluck dinners. I remember that when the dishes were being cleared after the main course, someone would always say, KEEP YOUR FORK. It was my favorite part because I knew that something better was coming. Like velvety chocolate cake, deep-dish apple pie, or something great. So, I just want people to see me there in the casket with a fork in my hand, and I want them to wonder. What's with the fork? Then I want you to tell them: KEEP YOUR FORK, the best is yet to come.

At the funeral, everyone that walked by the woman's casket saw her wearing a beautiful dress with her favorite Bible in her left hand and a fork in her right hand. Over and Over the pastor heard people ask the question, "Why is she holding a fork?" and his smile began to get larger and brighter each time. During his message, the pastor told the people about the conversation that he had with the woman shortly before she died. He explained the fork and what it symbolized to her.

The Pastor told everyone that he could not stop thinking about the fork, and how he hoped that they would not be able to stop thinking about it either. The fork had quite an impact on everyone at the funeral. They are still sharing the story with people they meet.

So the next time you reach for your fork let it remind you, ever so humbly, THE BEST IS YET TO COME

Blessings, and don't forget to help him clean it up when all the fun is over <><

I'm not sure if this is what you mean or not, but I will share it anyways. When my younger daughter's second grade class was receiving First Holy Communion, the priest came out to speak to them holding a huge wooden fork. It must have been 4 feet long. He spoke and did a little demonstration with a few of them, telling them to figure out how they would eat if this is the only utensil they had and they had to use it (not just eat with their hands). He led them to the obvious conclusion about how they had to "feed each other" and that's the only way it would work or they would starve. He tied in Biblical references and talked to them about stewardship and their obligations to their fellow humans. He encouraged them to house the homeless, clothe the naked and feed the hungry. It was a very touching and visual lesson for them.

You can always make them into crosses is nothing else. Or use them to prepare and serve food at your local soup kitchen; that would be better. As for forking your teacher's yard, why don't you lay off. If you hate him, forgive him and move on. Do something worthwhile with your time instead of dwelling on petty mischief and revenge.
