Are They Right? Is the End Coming August 22nd?

Question

I saw this guy on MSNBC and he made sense and has been studying Iran and says they are planning a global Jihad on August 22nd. This is the "anniversary" of the day Mohamed went from Mecca to Jerusalem and travelled to heaven and back (it's what they believe). It is also the day the President of Iran has said he will deliver his "response" to the world about their nuclear weapons program. He has his big interview Sunday on 60 Minutes.

I saw this on a program called Glenn Beck. I think westerners don't understand how crazy religion controls these people.

Sounds like the same stuff that was sayed in the 50's,60's,70's, 80's and 90's and when August the 23rd gets here, they will come up with some cosmic reason as to why their theory did not happen. However I can assure you that If we are all gone(Christians) on August the 23rd, it will have nothing to do with Mohamed, it will be because Jesus has return and we went with Him.

I met a young woman in a Denny's many years ago. She told me that the world was coming to an end on June 6th of that year, which was only a few weeks away. She invited me to her apartment, and gave me almost all of her clothes. (I never thought to ask what I'd need them for if the world was ending!)

Nothing is the end of the world but the end of the world! (Which is a good thing to remember when you're freaking out about some inconsequential problem, too!) And when that happens, it won't matter anymore, now will it?

So don't worry about it, there's nothing you can do anyway, and the chances are real good that you'll want your clothes back on the 23rd.

If the world is going to end on August 22nd, then I hope it does so before I go to work because the only thing that can make the end of the world any worse is for it happen during work hours.

Hmmmmm...I have a solution. Nuke them first. Ok, I'm joking....let me make a few points.
First off, it says in the bible no one knows the time and date of the end of the world except God himself. Secondly, even if you don't believe in God, I have a question: how do we know what they say is true? Terrorists like to make us afriad. This could just be something to scare us. Simply put, we could just shoot down anything that flies too close to the United States on that day. We have defenses. Finally, they know that if they nuke the world, they will go to. I don't think they all want to go.

The terrorist activity is scary. But the end is not coming August 22nd. The Bible teaches us that no one knows the hour or the day of Jesus' return.

I look at it this way, even if it does end on August 22nd why worry about it ? You can't stop it.

they dont have the means to destroy the whole world and any muslin nation that uses a wmd is going to be wiped off the face of the earth there is no dought about that .
iran go ahead and do it coz it will be goodby to there whole country .

No one knows but God, but the way things are going who knows. To my knowledge none of the ancient egyptian and aztec calanders go beyone the year 2012. Keep your eyes on what is happening in Israel, that is the key.
