When I first adopted my tabby, I've noticed that it have a sagging tummy just like any female cat after giving birth. At first I thought that it was a she until my vet confirmed it otherwise. i've forgotten to ask the vet of this issue. he is otherwise a tame health tabby cat.

well it depends if he's neutered or not. my 5 month old (neutered) male kitten is beginning to develop one of those to. since I adopted him he's become fatter, lazier and won't quit eating. lol!! mines a tabby too. but, my 2 year old (spayed) female has the same thing and has had it ever since she was like a year old (she's also overweight). she can't stop eating either. everyone who comes over asks me when she's going to have her kittens! lol!

I think it depends to if he's house cat. my cats are both strictly indoor only cats and have a saggy belly. when their in the house and don't go anywhere then they tend to get fat, lazy, sleep all day, and don't exercise like they should. ha... I just described my female kitty. lol!!

If he's not overweight, it could be he just comes from a line that has a little belly. It reads In the TICA Ragdoll standard "..fat pad on lower abdomen acceptable (Greater Omentum)...

Although this a pedigree cat standand, there are many others that have the same. I was alarmed years ago when I discovered this on our Himi. Vet told me it was okay. (duh!)

Anyway, unless there's a weight problem, NOT TO WORRY!

:-)

Both my male and female fixed cats have what we refer to as pounches, or saggy bellies. My guess it comes with being fixed and a little laziness, less active more sag just like WE-OLDSTER{humans] you know. It sure is nothing to worry about. Is he a cutie?

Is he neutered? Neutered male cats often develop a little gut. It's cute how it swings back and forth when they run. If that's it, it's nothing to be concerned about.

hiya i observed an identical with considered one of my kittens besides. It in simple terms hangs like unfastened epidermis. it rather is not substantive whilst the cat is stretched out yet i'm able to be sure it whilst its status wide-spread and laying down wide-spread. I grab it to learn it, it in simple terms sounds like epidermis (no lumps or something) and the kitty would not look bothered with the aid of it. Does your kitten act like it hurts? i pass to ask the vet once I take them in to get neutered.

My female cat has the same thing. I think it just has to do with the breed of the cat. If you look at tigers they have the same thing. Nothing to worry about, its just genetics. Just watch his diet so he doesn't get too fat.

Has he been drinking beer? Could be a beer belly.
