gel and glue aside, the others seem to do the same thing. i checked on the american crew website, and all the descriptions seem very similar. what's the dilio???

They are similar. Gel will give you medium hold and also shine. Wax will give a light hold, and shine, wax is also pliable which means after you style your hair, you can restyle it . Pomade has almost no hold but is very shiny, and pliable. Fiber has a strong hold ,still pliable , low shine, and gives lots of texture. Glue has the strongest hold, not shiny, not pliable., wherever you put your hair it stays there all day. Matte gives medium hold, lots of texture, pliable, no shine at all. Cream Has a medium hold , some shine, texture, and is also pliable. They are all great products depending on your type of hair, and the style your looking for.

All different consistancies and strength in holding power. Oh, and let's not forget differences in price.
