If god gives a child molester the free will to choose to molest or not, doesn't it take away from the free will of the child to not get molested?
Does god care more for the free will of the molester or the life of the child?

p.s. Diamond doll, you have really missed the point of the question.
How does someone abusing their free will justify the molestation of children?
If god gives free will, he also realizes that innocents will be punished for it.

Robert P, you're missing the point too.
Are you saying that "yes, there's free will, and god cares more about it than protecting children from rape?"

princesss,
does mercy for a child in heaven justify earthly molestation?
So you're saying it's ok for a guy to have free will and a child to grow up after being raped, cause the child will go to heaven, and if he repents the molester will too? Pah.

nickster,
by letting the molester run free (til death) and the child have a rotten life, your god has chosen that 1 person's freedom IS more important that anothers.

robere,
This is a serious philosophical question (my humour and wize@ssiness is much funnier)
What does free will as given by god have to do with following your country's written laws?
We're talking about god prizing free will of one over another.

The justification of child molestation is disgusting.
Free will or not, it is wrong to make an innocent child suffer.

lawrence,
my heart goes out to you buddy, but I do not agree with the justification of molestation to produce another mozart.
I'm sure in your past situation, if you had the choice, it would not have been to go through it.
Again, it is a deep question that needs to be asked and I hope that by reading and answering, I did not cause you any pain.

Yes, man's free will usually imposes on the rights of others.
Throughout history, man has had free will to take slaves, and look what happened. China, America, Japan, and all the other countries took slaves because it was their free will to.
In your case, God gives everyone free will and the free will to molest a child is horrendous. But it is one of those things that we cant change. God allows things to happen for a reason, no matter how bad they may seem.......In 15 years, the molested child may grow up to become the greatest political activist the world has ever seen or even the most talented star in history because of the trauma of something so serious. Just be optimistic.
I can comment, because I have lived through the situation.

I think you confuse the point. God loves and cares for both. However, must it always be God's who is responsibile for every action we perform? That is the conclusion of your question after
all. When you say "does God care more for the freewill of the molester or the life of the child?" you are implying that when a molester succeeds in harming a child it is because God reduced the freewill of the child. This is not what is happening.
The molester is accountable for the harm done to a child because the molester is under the same obligation as the rest of humanity, which is do no harm to the children (abortionists, warmongers, murders, etc. etc. are under this obligation as well). And so, it is not God who provides the opportunity for a child to be harmed. It is man in the misuse of his/her power.
I hope from this you understand the seriousness of why we must be charitable neighbors to one another to prevent this from happening for the sake of the child and the molester.
Now as to why would God permit this atrocity is a mystery. I do not pretend to have the answers. All I know is that His love is more than we know. And His justice is absolute. His justice can be experienced within our lifetime on earth or in the final judgment. Either way the child and their suffering is not forgotten and left unredeemed.
May the Lord bless and keep you. May He let the light of His face shine upon you.
God's and your beast of burden

Deities aside since I don't believe in them, ones free will can impinge on another's which is why one has to give thought to their actions before doing them.
A child molester definitely takes away the free will of the child, and in that case hopefully the law will work as it should and take away the free will of the molester. Even though I do believe in free will whole-heartedly, I also think it is something we need to use with care and respect and if that does not happen, if our free will seriously hurts or damages another human being then the free will must be forcibly taken away from that whom is doing the harm.

Free will is our ability to make choices. Our choices definitely affect one another. In the case that you described the child has had their freedom violated--- so they are obviously put into a situation where there choice is being violated by another. That doesn't mean that God did not give the child free choice. It reminds us that sinful choices do not only affect ourselves but also other people.
God cares enough to give people choice and He cares enough to direct us to making good choices. I don't know that one person's freedom is any more important than another persons.
God sent His son to die for all people.
Each person has to give an account one day for the choices that they make.
Hope that helps,
Nickster

Free will does not stand alone. It's like rights without responsiblities.
Yes you have Free will but there are also the commandments that govern how you should live.
Think of life as a test. Your given guidlines for the test and the test is graded but you can choose to take the test, not take the test, scribble on the test, rip the test up or even write on someone else's test. But in the end it will still be graded.

God gives freewill. Simply stated. Evil is there, and that is just one of the facts of it. There are those who will choose it. Obviously, right?
God doesn't give more freewill to the child molester, believe me, the molester will get his "reward" but, if God gave free will only to those who would do good, then would that really be free will?
I don't think so!!
Like it or not, God gave free will!! Just use your free will to do good. Maybe you can use your free will to counsel kids who have been molested...

I see what your getting at - but it sounds evil the way you put it.
"God" doesn't care more about one or the other (imo) He wants us to make choices ourselves....and sometimes people make wrongs one, but he's ok with that, because we are supposed to learn from are choices so we can grow as a person. The life of the child will be extremely traumatized - but thats life. That child then has the free will to move past the bad history or sulk and let it eat away at him.

One person's free will does not usually impair another persons free will. To will is an inner state and except for mind altering drugs and mental illness, cannot be taken away. However, the acts we do out of our free will are not identical to our will itself.
When a person willingly acts he alters the world around him and necessarily gives and takes away scenarios(aka choices) for other willingly acting persons. In the example of your molested boy, for instance, the molester's actions have narrowed the boys' field of options as far as action is concerned(he cannot not be getting molested), but the boy is yet completely and truly free to will from within the given scenario(to will to be somewhere else not getting raped or to fight or not fight his attacker).
Will is free, but action and choice is not. Human beings are in many ways passive and subject to the world around them, but though there be boundaries we are also empowered ourselves to act, create, and manipulate our surroundings.

the child did not get to choose or use it free will it was taken by the molester chooseing to use its free will against the child. and god did not give this molester the will to do that. the molester choose on his own to do and I wouldn't want to walk one mile in the molesters shoes cause you reap what you sow and judgment day for him i wouldn't want to be there.I'm a savior of a molester more then one I've seen what GOD can do to them

God didn't give us free will. We took it. That's what the devil wanted Eve to have. She already had the knowledge of good. Eating of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil gave her the knowledge of evil. God preferred innocence. We were innocent, blameless. Now we are not. Now we can choose to blame God or to accept responsibility for our choice of what is good or what is evil. Since it was Satan that wanted us to know evil ... God .... has used even that for our good. Because in the spiritual evolution of man we are learning to know during our lifetime how bad evil is and to choose of our own free will to be with God or with Satan. "Choose you this day who you will serve."
