Been there done that. Talk to your doctor for a mental evaluation.
I did that and hidden under the tears was being torn about my fathers death. Some bad injury that was verbal caused from someone else. You cant let it get you down 4 years baby.
The cant sleep was frustration in many areas.
I am surprised a friend did not step in by now really.
Take time to talk to clergy for help too if you feel talking to the doctor does not help. You got a lot of grief and possible guilt.
The thing I had to see was I was not alone. You are not far out in the woods somewhere on a deserted island. I am glad you put your question through. Opening up is the first step to getting help and you need and deserve to feel better. PS I did not do the drugs---the withdrawal or getting free of the drug is not going to happen. OK

I'm so sorry that you're feeling so down. It's important for you to make an appointment with your doctor and tell him/her exactly what you're telling us. Often depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain; and the more depressed your feel, the more the chemicals get out of whack. Medications can help. It might take a few months to figure out which ones are the best, but they do help. So, please make an appointment to see your doctor. Until then eat healthy, go for walks (start with ten minutes and work up to thirty minutes), drink lots of water. You are not alone... and if you need to call the National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 1-800-SUICIDE.

I know how you feel. I am dealing with alot and find myself crying for no reason at all sometimes and cannot sleep good either. If you ever need anyone to talk to you can e-mail me at beth.smith86@yahoo.com and I will be there for you. Also, maybe you should see about some anti-depressants like Prozac or Paxil. Also Xanax works really well. He should also prescribe you a sedative (valium) for the "bad nights/days" when you just cant seem to stop being upset. I am on Prozac and Valium and it is working really well for me.

Visit the cancer ward of a children's hospital and then stop feeling sorry for yourself. What you will see there will be courageous kids fighting to beat a horrible disease. After your visit, reflect upon how lucky you are and start feeling good about yourself and what you can contribute to make your world a better place. I do not mean to devalue your feelings of depression. I have been there--clinically depressed. BUT, you and I both know that NO ONE can bring you our of your depression. You must do it yourself, maybe with the help of a therapist. Work on it. You are worth it.
Cheers!!

Honey, go to the doctor and tell him what you've told us ok? They've got some wonderful drugs that will fix your brain- its not your fault you're depressed, its just that your brain is missing some important chemicals that it needs and its not making enough of them ok?
Go see a Doctor- remember, sucide is NOT A WAY OUT EVER

There's always someone to talk to, if you have the internet, find a good site with lots of people and just start talking.
Like now, you're talking, you're definatly not alone, and you will find people with problems other than yourself.
