That is natural. But if you want to date, you need to talk. Find common interests until you become more comfortable with the relationship. What did you use to talk about before you found out he liked you?

Tell him that you're shy around him, tell him why, and apologise.

But just keep talking with him. Eventually, that shyness will go away, and the confidence will return.

Don't forget to engage him - let him give you feedback. Ask him how he feels, and how he would feel if you and he were to hang around together for a while.

If you feel the need to, you can touch him gently on the shoulder and smile when you talk. Just a light touch, but that'll be enough to start with.

The key is: keep talking until the shyness is gone.

that's definitely true. if someone likes you it means he/she has a good opinion on you and you try not to change that, so you pay more attention to what you are saying and doing. in your case, the solution is quite easy: talk to him about how you feel, about the fact that you like him and that is why you are so intimidated by him.... men just love to know they have such an effect on girls/women. and then, try to always keep in mind that if he liked you for what you said and did before, all you have to do for him to continue to like you is to be yourself.
best of luck.

Girl you've got a heads up and you wanna freeze? Why? He liked you because you were comfortable and there was a friendship there. Don't change he liked you for who you are stop head tripping. Most successful relationships are based on a great friendship.

Yes. I have suffered three years in the same way. But one day, the inside bravo did the work. Since then, every thing is alright.

No, it's the opposite for me. I usually will hold back a little bit because I can get on people's nerves and never shut up sometimes. If I know they like me for me, it gets me to open up a bit more and I'm more relaxed

that has happened to me to many times i would like a boy and when i didn't feel he liked me we talked endlessly but when i found out he did i'd act so shy but you should just get over your fears and get more confident in yourself and pretend like how you felt when you thought he didn't like you

yeah- it is pretty akward.... best thing to do is act like u normally do, or... did... make the person feel more comfortable- or as comfortable as they used to be- around u so that they kno it's safe to keep talking to u and let ur relationship grow.
