No, it isn't over rated. If anything the problem is that it isn't rated enough. Too many people are willing to settle and accept being a relationship without any romance. Lets face it, romance to some degree takes work and if it isn't required for the relationship the majority of people will simply look at it as one less thing for them to have to work at doing. I think romance needs to be important in every relationship. It is important for their to be kissing, hugging, flirting, teasing, holding hands, opening of doors, and just simple all around good manners and respect for the one you love. I think flowers and small gifts on occasion are something every guy should take the time to do. I also think romance is about remembering anniversaries, birthdays, and valentines day and celebrating ones relationship and partner on those days. And gifts and cards on those occasions should be well thought out and meaningful, not just a last minute run by the store and assume it is the thought that matters. It is the thought put into the occasion that matters and the love behind it.

Guys aren't romantic anymore because they don't have to be. They can get girls without it. They just haven't realized that the good ones still want them to be romantic. For me romance means showing me how special I am to him. He can do it in a lot of ways but I want him to put some time and effort into it. After all I am worth it.

It's a very subjective question you posed. Romance is tied to how 2 people share the moment. If he's romantic and you don't feel that way, then..where's the romance? It's a moment to be shared.

Guys?..which ones? There are guys who would go the extra mile to set the ambience, order your favourite food, dance your favourite dance just to make you smile. And there are guys who think Mc D's are romantic..take your pick.

What about women?..girls can be romantic too..and guys dig that..

Romance is not overrated, women are just insatiable. Guys are romantic, they just can't afford all the things that women consider romantic. Women want to much and want to be in charge too. What is romantic to me is a weekend at the beach just swimming and reading with my girl during the day and then going dancing and dinner at night.

I like to think Im romantic. But then again unlike most guys I don't think about just f##ing all the time. Im more of what does she want? Don't get me wrong...I love to, but I go outta my way to make her feel like she's special and number one to me. Romance doesn't have to be wine or sunsets, it's moments you spend with that person that sparks the romance.

Everybody stays so busy with work and just life in general and forget how important taking time to romance your partner is. Sometimes you just have to stop and make it a point to put them at the very top of your priority list. It might mean making some sacrifices--but if you really care about them then no sacrifice is too great

Romance isn't over rated. It's just I don't have a flower garden, a chocolate factory, and don't live next to a beach. All the things girls seem to find romantic I just find expensive. When you put that with the fact she says "It's about time" when you do something like that for her you know It just isn't worth it.

Guys reckon being romantic is soppy and detrimental to their so-called macho image. I reckon at least 90% of the guys go after a girl for one thing only - sex - and if they don't get it chop-chop, off they go looking for another prospect. Romancing is, unfortunately, a dying art, and the world is a sadder place thereby. God Bless!
