Everyone is manipulated by their faith. If they are true to their church and faith, then they let that church and faith do their thinking for them. This is especially true of the really controlling religions like the Muslims.

Everyone practices faith. you have faith in your car breaks and faith on the pilot when you board a plane. Faith is not dangerous, but there are people that take it to the extreme. And because of that, people will always judge a whole group by the actions of a few.So again faith is not dangerous.

Organized religion is and has always been dangerous. It is the leading cause of wars since the beginning of time. You don't believe in my invisible man so you must die? If only every organized religion taught "Live and let live" and rule #1, we might not have these problems.

For those who take it too far, yes, but I am not being brainwashed by my religion because I ask too many questions about it, and I do not take it literally. I was born and raised a Catholic, and I still am a Catholic. I do not think that my religion is brainwashing me, because they tell us to read between the lines and think for ourselves. They tell us to find what we love and develop our own personal relationship with God. I am with my religion because my family and friends are there and I do not want to lose any of them.
