I have a cat that I have brought with me to FLA a couple of times. We usually cross in Buffalo, NY from Niagara Falls, Ont. The border never had me pull him out of the car. EVER. Even at the airport, the only place they had me holding him was when I went through the metal detector while his cage was X-rayed.

Well, they CALL it an exam, but it's really just prurient curiosity. See, the folks who become border guards are pretty ow-slay entally-may, if you get my meaning. They are very lonely and the chance to "frisk" a dog is just too good to pass up.
Explain to your pooch that she should grin and bare it, because it will all be over before she knows it. Plus, it's all in the name of Homeland Security, so it must be okay, right?

Well, I don't think so, it depends on what you mean on exam ur dog, like health reasons, you should probably have ur vet write all of the illnesses that ur dog has and if she had her rabies shot. ., just in case. (If they do exam dogs, that would be a big concern) But for weapon wise, I think the only thing that you should worry about is them searching ur bags. Lol, * ^_^ *

i was never asked about the dog i crossed the border with, but the smart thing to do is make sure your dog is up-to-date on shots and bring a copy of that with you.
