It can work, if you're mature beyond your years and he is immature beyond his. I'm forty one years old and am generally not interested in dating under 28 or so but every blue moon I meet some young girl with her sh_t together and is not just smart for her age but is smart for any age and then I'll consider bending my self imposed rules. Most of my friends are dogs they're like " 18's legal" but i gotta sleep at night. I've blew off girls 21 because I felt like "Chester". But If the girl's really smart the Chester thing doesn't happen, If you're really smart I think it could work. But only if you're on the same or a higher intellectual level than he is.

This may or may not work ... mainly, because your personality/views might change as you grow older. The older gentleman has experienced a lot more of life than you have and might not seem amused with your new growth and experiences.

I feel your feeling nurtured at the present time and will slowly grow apart when you realize that you have a lot of new experiences you want to try and he doesn't agree with.

I speak from experience... I'm 39 dating a 52 year old. At times we clash because he is more set in his ways and sees things in a much older prospective. He feels he is set in his ways and have earned some of the inconsiderate/disrespectful ways he presents at times... like stay out with the boys fishing, or shooting pool until 4a. I'm not normally a jealous woman but I feel just because you are older doesn't give you an automatic pass!

Age should not ever be a issue "IF YOU LOVE THE PERSON TRUELY". Love is love and thats it.....No barriers, age and or race plays the part of who we date or marry. Love had no boundries AT ALL. I am speaking from experience ....I am 35 and have been dateing girls as young as 18 but I am a American and I do live in Mexico !!!!!!!...

Women mature faster than men. Your mental ability level is probably very close to his. Age is a state of mind so don't bother trying to please the world or fit into a stereotyped image or something. If the two of you are happy then enjoy life and you have my best wishes.

If you've been in it for 2 years what makes you think it won't work. Keep going if you want to be with him the rest of your life. Because I don't think he's playin little games.

It could! It has to be real love and committment. You guys need to figure out why you got attracted to each other in the first place..honestly.

Be careful..if you see your dad in him. This won't work
