I'm a skinny kid, and now I avoid fastfood, not because I think I'm fat just because all that crap isnt good for your health, but I was wondering, here is what I get when I always go to Subway.
12" Turkey Breast Sub
Wheat Bread
American Cheese(4 triangle shaped cheeses)
Mustard
That's what I get normally, it is under the " 6 grams of fat or less" menu, but instead of getting the 6" one, I get the 12", and I was just wondering, is the sub with everything on it I posted above healthy for you and is it like fast food, like all the greasy things from KFC?

The Subway choice you mentioned above is definitely a good deal better than a typical fast food meal.
The whole meal is about 750 calories with 90 grams of carbs and 13 or so grams of fat.
For comparison, (1) piece of KFC chicken has 380 and 19 grams of fat.
The downside to the Subway meal is the high sodium content. The meal is going to run you about 2200 mgs of sodium which is a bit excessive.
I'd say you're making a good choice by staying away from more fat laden foods. The choice mentioned above seems to be one of subways most healthy options. As long as your not eating it every day and complementing your diet with fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins I think you're doing great.

It is the best fast food you can possibly get. Subway does have a lot of salt, but there is alot of salt in any lunchmeats and it isn't a ton. A 12" on wheat with just mustard and cheese sounds very healthy. You could probably add any veggies you want and it would still be healthy as long as the condiments don't change. The condiments are where you can take a wrong turn! You could have vinegar though. Just avoid mayo and the sauces.
12 grams of fat or less is a pretty healthy meal! If you buy a weight watchers frozen dinner they are 8-14 grams of fat!

the food from KFC is horrendous. if you havent seen super size me yet - get it watched.
A chicken zinger salad with dressing can contain upto 700 calories!
your sandwich is definately the better choice the mustard is zero fat and the turkey (as long as it is lean with skin removed) is a good choice too. The cheese is fine - every meal needs some fat in it, it makes it enjoyable and keeps you feeling fuller or longer. The only thing i would warn about is that 12"s of bread could make you feel quite ill after if you are sensitive to wheat/gluten or have IBS also it would probably make you feel loagy. For a better option stick to the 6" and grab some fruit with it.

Subway subs are healthy for you. Sounds like you are getting the good stuff. Make sure you add some veggies to it though, some lettuce at least. Its much much healthier then KFC or McDonalds. I just had the gastric bypass surgery because of a weight problem, so I've been doing a lot of research on healthy eating. Subway sandwiches are on the OK list for weight loss, just avoid the heavy dressings.

A sandwich with the ingredients you posted is healthy, but the cheese adds a little fat and calories (if you're thin and young, don't sweat that too much).
For the most part, Subway is healthier than most fast food places, especially if you order something like what you do. Even if you goop on dressings and get bacon or something, it's still better than eating something deep fried with a ton of presertatives.

It just depends on what type of sub you chose. I think a 12 inch turkey sub is not even a comparison to KFC or any fast food place. I say thumbs up for keeping it healthy. As long as you watch your diet and stay active I am sure the full 12 inches will not put the weight on you.

What about the veggies? At least lettuce and tomatoes.
I would lose the american cheese. It's not real cheese, it's processed cheese food. Anything with the word processed in it isn't all that great for you. Also, eating too much lunch meat isn't that great for you either. They are processed with phosphates that are known carcinogens.
The sub you listed is better if you drop the american cheese and add lettuce & tomatoes. It's better for you than greasy KFC even with the american cheese.

Turkey, wheat bread, and mustard are all very low-fat, low-cal foods. The cheese is alright. All cheese is fattening, but a little cheese never hurts when you can afford it. It's MUCH healthier than fast food because it's not deep fried in fatty grease and coated with fatty breading. For added benefits and no real extra calories, go ahead and add veggies to that sammich. I personally enjoy lettuce, tomato, pickels, onions, and black olives on my turkey subs. ^_^

well its actually pretty good for you unless ur on the atkins diet, but that really doesnt work
its technically fast food but isnt the sterotypical fast food, its easy and convient but even 2 footlongs probably dont have even close to the amount of fat a McDonalds burger has, overall subway is MUCH better for you then other fast food restaurants
