Well in a lot of cases it starts as a child.. If children get yelled at or put down by someone,, not everyone has to go through anything but what it is that you put your feeling off or to the side for something or someone,, could of been something major or something small but really doesn't mattered to you,, and After a while it doesn't matter because life goes on.. But after a while our bodies start to follow the feelings of putting things off and putting them off,, and I bet if you looked at your feeling now , you would feel some sense of that,, And this relates you to not wanting to do anything in life but sit down and hurt for something you don't know why your hurting for... It'd a sign of confusion that leads us to do this... I know it's only small and crazy that something like this would happen because of this,, but it's important for us to know our feelings and to react on them as adults... Some different things that you can do to help your self are when your sitting down and you feeling like doing things or you wish that you could do something, and then you don't want to because you feel to exposed ,,, keep telling yourself "get up" and at first you will not move but like I said keep telling your self get up" You have to take it inch by inch first starting off were you are confused so small words that’s feel right to you... such as get up.. if you feel a kind of winding feeling in your belly or anything for that fact,, you know you still have feeling... The next thing to remember is that all this time that your doing nothing your body feels good about it,, so if your setting down and you keep telling yourself get up and you feel more so of doing so and still don't,,,,,,,,,,,, use a small negative word that you would decibe yourself and then tell yourself again to get up...""""""""""" "What this is doing is knowing your body! how you really feel on the inside.. you want to be up and because you feel disable to your lacking life....... I know this would work for you if you just keep telling yourself ,, be demanding with yourself.. please trust me it works.... peace

So you have "a state of sadness, melancholia or despair that has advanced to the point of being disruptive to an individual's social functioning and/or activities of daily living?" That's clinical depression, my friend. You'll be able to get a handle on it eventually, but until that time, see a psychiatrist and get a prescription.
I believe the world is over-prescribed, but this IS one of the situations in which an antidepressant is entirely appropriate.

Talk 2 family and friends that love u and go 2 a psychiatrist. Remember God loves u and cares bout u. Try 2 think thru any problems u might have and remember it's ok. Be patient when u r trying 2 solve them cuz it might take time. good luck hope u start feelin better soon=)

Sounds like depression rather than mania. Mania is the happy, excited other end of the pole. What happened to you to make you that way? Maybe you have felt a lot of rejection. I have too. Sometimes I feel better if I listen to the Bible. ( try ttb.org. the ministry of J.Vernon McGee.) I have one friend who does not treat me badly. Sometimes I go pay him a short visit to make me feel better. Maybe you need a counselor.

It is very difficult to know what goes deep inside the mind.Best solution is to meditate and try concentrating your mind on some abstract object. God if you have faith. Or sky and the stars, air you breathe , any thing that suits you.This has a positive effect.
