I agree... well mostly because your FINE.... but I do see what you mean. Normally I just try to answer most questions light heartedly, it's not until someone becomes a real @$$hole that my buttons get pushed and then I just become UGLY!

Personally, I only answer questions that I know the answer to. I think people don't take the time to think out a serious, real answer. I find people would rather just answer for the points which mean nothing. I try to give honest and informative answers. If I don't know the answer or have a solution for the person asking...I don't answer. Have a great day!!!

You have asked an excellent question! I feel the same way. The only answer that I can come up with is that some people are abusing this Yahoo questions network. I try to use good judgment and help people solve their problems. Some people are very rude and shouldn't be allowed to participate.

I guess it has to do with the question and level of insanity that brought it to this forum. I just answered a question on " I babysit and do phone sex, the kids are to loud sometimes, should I ask the parents if I can spank them?" I mean come on, doing phone sex while babysitting children. That kind of question deserves a rude response. I do not normally give rude responses, as you can check the questions I have answered, but that one deserved it. I can not speak for anyone else on this issue but that is when I give a rude response.

This is a site where people often wish to extol their blinkered views so anyone disagreeing with them are the enemy. No matter how little you deviate, you are the enemy just like in Stalin's Soviet Union or any other totaliterian regime.
There is no filter except your own intelligence.

If you want respect, first you have to give respect. You have asked questions that include insults in the question. This will incite people to respond with even more insults. While some will be insulting no matter what you do. You have to learn to ignore those who send insulting replies but that does not mean that you ignore all replies that you don't agree with. But you also need to act respectfully if you expect respect in return.

In my own opinion it'd be because the person answering thinks they are better than the person who asked. People believe if someone asks a question that someone else may know the answer to, that'd make them (the answerer) a better person.
It's just another down-side to the human race.

Anonymity breeds this kind of behavior. If you knew you were going to be with the person in a day or hour or so, politeness would be more prevalent.
But then look at the way people drive now and cut in line etc

Well, it seems you are intelligent...you should be able to ignore the inane blather. Continue to be a positve force and lead by example. I sent a message to a person who gave a beligerent response to let them know their offstandish comments do little to convince anyone to their point of view. He sent me a message back saying sometimes he gets frustrated, but my point was well taken. People are human and sometimes react before thinking. you are halfway to blame if you let it offend you.

As I frequently tell people on here, name-calling is an ignorant person's way of feeling smarter.
Being a smart-a** is how some people try to cover up their own shortcomings..
Hope you wind up with more people answering properly.
