Well the way you have worded it makes it sounds like ALL people twist scripture. I don't agree with that.

I do agree that many people have twisted scripture, but their evil motives are what caused the bad stuff to happen scripture was just used as a tool to further their cause.

Yes...people do this all the time.

For those that trample on the Word of God...

Hebrews 10:26 Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received a full knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice that will cover these sins. 27 There will be nothing to look forward to but the terrible expectation of God's judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. 28 Anyone who refused to obey the law of Moses was put to death without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Think how much more terrible the punishment will be for those who have trampled on the Son of God and have treated the blood of the covenant as if it were common and unholy. Such people have insulted and enraged the Holy Spirit who brings God's mercy to his people.

30 For we know the one who said,

"I will take vengeance.
I will repay those who deserve it."

He also said,

"The Lord will judge his own people."

31 It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Take a look at Rev. 22:18 (NLT) And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the prophetic words of this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book. 19 And if anyone removes any of the words of this prophetic book, God will remove that person's share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book.

20 He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, "Yes, I am coming soon!"

Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.

(KJV) Rev. 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

I do not compare myself to a bad example. I try to keep the goal on Jesus, who is perfect.
There is a lot of bad stuff all over the world. Hurt people hurt people. I would not blame Scriptures for all that. I think that we need to take a personal responsibility with our own actions. It is the easiest thing to blame others.

I agree that people have been known to twist the Scriptures to further their own ends. Some have even developed their version of the Bible. There are several off-course sects, who shall remain nameless, that are "experts" at both of the above nefarious activities. Avoid them like the plague, and God Bless!

Anyone can find something to support their view in scripture; even when the same book as contradictory scripture. It's all just pick and choose what ever serves your needs best at the moment.

NO, scripture is ment to be read many different ways, but if you want to read it how its written then you have to put piece by piece together, for example Gen.2:16-17 speaks of the tree of knowledge, God tells Adem and Eve " for in the (day) you eat of it you shall surely die" well Adem didnt die the same day as we all no Adem lived to be 930 yrs old ok but now check out 2Pet.3:8 that speaks of a thousand yrs to us (mankind) is one day to God and one of Gods days is a thousand yrs to us.....meaning that Adem did not live one full day in Gods eyes Adem was 70 yrs short of one full day to god

well the bible isn't the original text..the original bible had nothing on witches and witchcraft. only people who steal.so pretty much chrisitians didn't like pagans etc.. so to try to convert them they twisted it to what it is today..this leads to bad things against wiccans and pagans.. the reality is wiccans and pagans don't worship the devil .they don't believe in evil.it's just a lie that religions made to so they can justify being mean to them.I'm not a ignorant christian..Like god.. I feel you can be any religion cept satanic to go to the spiritual plane aka heaven..

I completely agree. I blame the writers of the bible for not making it translation friendly. They should have stuck to concrete nouns and -only- concrete nouns.
