AS many have said, beer is best from a barrel. Failing that a bottle. Its more than just an alliteration thing. Beer can is simply a way some of my students attempt a Jamaican patois accent "Beer can an' hegs"
But if you must drink beer out of a tin (and some times it is unavoidable) then it would have to be something like a Stella. Cheap beer in a can just tastes vile. Cheap beer in a bottle can be acceptable - but is harder to find.
That said, Grolsh in a bottle - well chilled - is lovely, but Grolsh from a tin just doesn't work.
As to REAL beers, they should never be put into tin. Sorry - not even Green King IPA. If you can't have it draught, all the widgets in the world won't save it. Bottle it.

Any genuine foreign beer, imported not branded and uk canned.
Uk water contains so much crap, the chemicals react with the metal cans, making it taste tinny. Beer is 90% water. German beer gives you less of a hangover, better water, less chemicals and crap in the canning proccess.
My dad was involved in the budwiser launch, when it first came to uk years ago in cans....He's (was) a fuckin chemical engineer!
They were worried about shelf life, and the canning proccess..chemically! Apparently it had to be kept above a certain temperature other wise it went off!
Go import, go for german.

Anything with alchohol and bubbles is fine by me. But as a redneck hillbilly from Texas, Budweiser is king. Shinner Bock no.2
